South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

She's habitually paradoxical, a parallel perpendicular;

"Mr crow might just show up, he has a tendency of doing that. I wonder if he is a magical crow sometimes." She nodded her head adamantly, her silvery eyes twinkle with the possibility that it could be true. After all, one moment she's on her own and then POOF there was a large black raven suddenly at her side. Illy wasn't quite sure how he found her or why he chose her of all things to spend so much of his time with.

Perhaps the question was rude and yet she was completely oblivious to the notion that it actually could be taken wrongly. She fairy woman simply smiled after asking what she was! After all, she was one of the most exotic looking creatures she had ever seen. She simply could not help blurting the words out, curiosity and the lack of picking up on subtle ques were some of the quirky woman's downfall. She giggled lightheartedly at the red panda's words. "I know what you mean. I am a fairy but I don't feel like one. I don't know why they think they are all better than everyone else. I don't feel like a fairy at all, no way jose. You know what? I think exotic is a good thing, it means your special!" As far as Illy was concerned she was, she was smarter than any animal in the forest and she looked the coolest. Although, Mr. Crow was certainly very intelligent for a bird and very quick on his birdy feet.

They spoke of bamboo and then the topic of conversation shifted to the food she had packed in her satchel. The blond woman dumped out the contents tumbling out haphazardly. All the fruits, veggies and sandwich slices were in separate containers, she liked organizing the food in categories. Salad in one, carrot slices in a ziplock, fruits like apples and berries in their own containers. But what also spilled out were a few of her gemstones that she had acquired that week. Abby shifted close, letting her little nose sniff at those curious shiny looking gems. Yet she didn't ask about them, at least not yet. She was proud of them and often sceptical of anyone who approached her, thinking they might want to take one of these pilfered items for their own. Not on her watch, nope, no siry. The fairy was very possessive of these stones and very obviously careful with who she told about them. But Abby seemed a trust worthy candidate, perhaps that being rather naive of the woman. She just couldn't help it, she was too overwhelmed with the idea that she had truly found a new friend brought to her by the hands of fate herself! What a lucky day today had turned out to be.

They then spoke of an interesting food called lamb, and too be honest she wasn't quite sure what it was made of. Surely not an actual lamb. Why would anyone want to eat something so cute?? Regardless, Illy hadn't the faintest idea of where to go. "Oh that's great! The more the merrier. Arlo can come too. Is Arlo like your Mr. Crow?" She asked curiously at the mention of another name. She began to open up all the containers and Ziploc bags so she could take what she wished from the various choices. Then one by one she placed her gems back within the safe confines of her bag, best not let any passersby see. Then when she picked up a pretty emerald necklace, she hesitated, she couldn't help but think how it contemplated the russet coloured abby's fur! She should have it, she couldn't help but let the words fall from her lips. Abby seemed so excited by the idea, responding with look and words of awe. "Of course, you are my friend and I think it looks like it belongs to you." The emerald seemed to gleam against the sun's delicate fingers, a smile playing upon her lip. "Of course! I find them all the time.. but I don't' share them with just anyone. Don't tell a soul.. but I collect them. Be careful though, people seem to like these a lot.. They can get a bit rude. She reached out her hand containing the necklace, urging the little creature to take it, unaware of the true value of the necklace. Not that it mattered, she was happy to share with her newfound companion.

She was almost taken aback at how stern she was about liking her ears, she nearly blushed. She had always kept them super hidden, to keep herself safe from those who wanted to snatch a fairy or those that simply loved to ridicule them. There were a lot of bad people in the world, some she had the opportunity to meet. She could only hope that she never had to come across them in Sacrosanct, it was the reason why her parents sent her here, with a bag full of gems to help her.

She finished opening up the last two containers, Abby's eyes noticeably growing wider by the second! Illy grabbed an apple slice along with abby, munching that crisp delicious morsel. She truly was hungry, she felt it the more she chewed away. Illy then asked a question which Abby had no qualms with answering. Was Mr. Crow a were? She never thought to ask and never saw him anything else other than a crow. "A were! How cool! I wish I could be one too." She paused between mouthfuls considering her question. Mr. Crow... a were?? "hmmm.. I don't know.. how can I tell if he is one??" She tipped her head, frowning at the thought. What if he was?? It would certainly explain why he wanted nothing to do with the other birds. She then reached out to grab a peanut butter and jelly sandwich quarter, bringing it to her lips as she thought about the idea.
