South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i'm the hero of my own story, don't need a knight in shining armor

Few words could ever truly come to express just how grateful she was for the support and encouragement that she had needed to travel across the ocean to find. Such things had managed to evade the French woman in those earlier years when she'd first fallen in love with the idea of seeing the world that rested beyond those rolling hills of that impeccable estate those years ago, of one day seeing all that she could ever have hoped to see with her own sage eyes rather than the imagery that those worded etched into each and every page of those books she'd explored in the library of her parents' manor, feel what it was like to belong somewhere not simply because it was a birthright but because it was something that she had worked for and made all her own. As strong and determined as she was in nearly all that she did, Adelaide also knew that this part of her dream was not something that she could have done entirely on her own. No, she was not so foolish as to think that running this bistro would be something that she would be able to do alone. While she was fierce and independent, adamant on doing things on her own simply for the fact that she was not some meek ans defenseless creature, she was also humble enough to fully understand and accept that trying to strive for something as large and challenging as this would surely be all on her own was impossible. Adelaide reveled in testing her own limitations as often as each opportunity would permit her to, but this was so much bigger than the French woman alone. And so, for the hardworking Killian, equally determined Elain, and radiant Abigail that she was both enthused and proud to call her comrades in this adventure they would begin together today, Adelaide could not possibly be more thankful. There was little that they could not do so long as they gave it all that they had to give and helped one another. It would be one for all and all for one as the saying goes for even though Adelaide was the owner, she did not place herself above the team that had assisted her in coming this far and she was determined to be there in the thick of the fray with them step for step. After all, a great leader was not a leader that say idly by and did nothing or refused to pull their own weight. A great leader is someone who is wholly devoted not only to the prosperity of their business and themselves but was also equally committed to the growth and needs of those that followed them, and that wasn't something that she had to read or learn from a book. She was bound and determined to work for them as diligently as they would surely work for her. With them beside her and their combined efforts, the dark-haired woman was certain that this ambition of hers would not just succeed in further establishing her place here in the city of Sacrosanct, but rather that it would thrive.

When she's nearly finished examining every little detail behind the freshly polished bar, she turns to watch as the honey-blonde woman continues dressing each table properly with the needed utensils and freshly washed linen napkins, placing currently unlit candles and a single vase at the center of each one with such care that it brings a warm smile to the French woman's dusty rose-colored lips."Yiu take such care with the arrangements, Elain. Have you ever considered a career as a designer?", she asks her companion warmly, genuine fondness and dancing in those lilted words. The honey-blonde woman looks up from her tasks then, eyes of early morning frost sparkling beneath the compliment that fell from Adelaide to show that those words touched her, flashing a bright smile that dances across her lips then."I really appreciate those kind words, Adelaide! But what I truly want to do is become a teacher", replies the young woman, a brightness filling her gaze before she turns to examine her work on the current table she'd been dressing. Giving a small nod of satisfaction, she moves over to a table close to the bar where Adelaide is standing, polishing a wine glass she'd found that needed a little extra care."That is quite the ambition. You will make a wonderful teacher someday, of that I am quite sure mon cher", she remarks then as her smile grows warmer. It wasn't until she had come to this city that Adelaide had wanted to pursue some sort of occupation herself if only to serve the purpose of driving those roots ever farther into the soils of this world so that she would make it near impossible for her parents to try and force her home if they discovered that she had absolutely no intentions of returning to Paris. But what Elain had decided to pursue, it was something entirely selfless and the French woman couldn't help thinking that such a job suited her perfectly."Gosh, I sure hope so! I just love kids, so it'd be a dream come true really. Maybe someday I'll have a couple of my own", comes the bright voice of Elain though her glacier blue eyes do not lift from arranging the candles and vase on that table she stood at. Adelaide can't help but feel that connection with the young woman as she speaks of dreams and those future wants she hoped to one day make her own, the dark-haired woman very much familiar with those feelings. In that moment, as she turns to place that glass in its proper place, she dares to think for a moment of having children of her own. Maybe someday... And what of Taylor? Was that something he might hope for one day?

Quick to push that thoughts away for now, she reaches for another glass with a few smudges on it and as she turns back to watch Elain busy herself with the next table, the sound of steps on the back deck bring sage eyes to the open sliding glass door to watch as the Irishman enters over the threshold. She takes a moment to observe the man with a kind smile as she noticed those those perfectly pressed black slacks and tie accompanied by a gray button-up shirt beneath his black leather jacket. He certainly knew how to dress well. His accented greeting has that warm smile growing as sage eyes soften while the follow him to that coat rack where he hands his jacket, a soft note of melodic laughter falling from Adelaide."Bonjour. You're hardly late, Killian. Though I appreciate your early arrival as I believe a few of these glasses could use some attention, and the assistance would be welcome", she greets Killian warmly as Elain turns her icy blues to the man with a chiming giggle of her own before turning back to the table decor once again, seeming to have decided that she would introduce herself once she'd finished her task, though not not a moment after Killian arrives the sound of more steps on that back deck cause both Elain and Adelaide to look up and see the red-haired woman walking through that sliding glass door with a radiant smile on her lips as she moves to stand near the threesome, hazel eyes full of excitement falling first to Adelaide as they widen while she admires that velvet emerald dress, the shawl still drapes over slender shoulders currently hiding the glittering gems beneath. The young woman's voice is bright and cheerful, so full of that energy that had quickly won the French woman over. A warm smile finds her lips again as she continues to polish the glass in her hands."Bonne après-midi (good afternoon) to you as well, Miss Abigail. And thank you, it is one of my favorite dresses", the dark-haired woman replies warmly back in her silken voice, sage eyes resting fondly over the red-haired woman that turns to introduce herself to Elain and Killian, the honey-blonde woman smiling her own bright and eager smile to the newest face. Adelaide could almost see the two women getting along so well in the near future, and if her entire staff happened to like each other then it would only make everything flow that much more smoothly.

Just as Abigail is ending her introduction to the group, the sound of yet another individual walking over that freshly painted back desk catches Adelaide's attention. She was half expecting to see the Englishman walking through the opened door to join then, surely having finished whatever tasks at their residence and seeking to lend a hand however he could, but those steps... As silly as it seemed, they didn't sound like Townsend. His gait was always light and refined, these were unexplainably different. There is a faint glimmer of surprise in those sage eyes that quickly grow into somethimg softer when they find those familiar hunter green depths and that smile upon the handsome features that could only belong to Taylor. His tenor tones ignite that warmth in her heart though his words have her sage eyes glittering boldly as she lifts a brow at the man as he walks over to the group now."What a pleasant surprise, seeing you here, Monsieur", she greets him in amused and impish accented words as that smile of hers becomes coy as she admires the man for a moment. He introduces himself to the group then, first reaching to shake hands with the Irishman, turning to give Adelaide an playful wink at his choice of title. She can't help the amusement that glitters in those sage eyes beneath dark lashes, lilted laughter falling effortlessly from her lips still alive with that coy smile as she regards Taylor."You say that like you don't enjoy your work, dear Taylor", she replies impishly as sage depths linger over him as he settles into the small couch, that unspoken connection coming alive between them subtly for despite the teasing that they exchange, the woman was sure that he could see she was happy to see him. It is then that the honey-blonde smiles brightly to the three new faces."It's so nice to meet all of you! I'm Elain, but you call just call me Ellie. I'm so excited to start working with you guys!", she says warmly to them as she introduces herself, first moving to offer her hand to Abigail before turning to shake Killian's hand and giving Taylor a gentle wave of greeting, not wanting to walk through the group to shake his hand as Adelaide watched them all interact with one another, curious on how well they would all get along though something told the French woman that she couldn't have chosen better people to mark as her very first employees. Today was going to be perfect, she was certain of it.
