South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It feels like I only go backwards

The eerie fog that settled beyond the park seemed fitting for the night to come. Without another thought he had found himself trudging through the mushy grass, hiding amongst the fog sweeping lazily across the field. It was a nice quiet shortcut from his mission and he felt his mind grow as foggy as the atmosphere when he proceeded through the desolate area. "Ugh," Ludo grimaced as he rolled his shoulder, only to tense up at the sharp pain that shot throughout his body. "Ah, shit," he murmured taking extra precaution to not move it anymore than he had to. The last man who he had faced proved to be more difficult of a task to get rid of than he anticipated. The mission his father requested, no more than thirty minutes ago, was the third one in the evening he had to take care of. Needless to say, Ludo was reaching a point of complete exhaustion both mentally and physically. The physical strain that throbbed through his shoulder left him anxious as to how long he'd be absent from work due to such a careless mistake. However, that thought was completely cast to the back of his mind as he recalled each person tonight telling him that he was killing the wrong people. That they weren't really the one's behind the corruptness in Sacrosanct. He remembered one telling him, "The corruptness is closer than you think." Usually he would bypass such remarks, as everyone essentially begged for their life and pointed the blame in every direction. Yet, there was something about the quivering tone in each of their voices and the absolute fearful expressions they each wore as they drew their last breath that almost made him believe they were telling the truth.

However, his father was the one who gave him such missions. How could his own blood ever lead him astray? It was an absurd thought to him, feeling immediate guilt eating at him for even questioning his own kin. "Perhaps my father was just testing my loyalty." Ludo tried convincing himself. "But, why?" Getting frustrated with the sporadic thoughts and the aching throughout his upper right arm he decided to plop down beneath a giant birch tree, leaning against the trunk with a loud grunt. His head hung, he feels his eyelids slowly shut with drowsiness. Listening to the crickets echoed chirps and feeling the misty fog brush against him helped him settle into a deep state of relaxation. Except, the continuous awful twinge of pain in his shoulder. He rolled the idea around of grabbing a drink at the VooDoo room to help the hurt, but he looked down at his grubby, bloody shirt and decided it was best not to. He knew he should get up and move onward but he felt his feet refusing to make any motion.

Instead, he lay there now dozing off without a care in the world. He let his guard completely down as he assumed he wouldn't be encountering anyone, anytime soon.
