South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

She was all too aware of the game the two men were playing for her benefit, teasing each other. It's like they were trying to distract her from her own sadness while at the same time, she was bringing out a lighter side to both of them. It was enjoyable, much more so than crying alone in the forest. She caught the look of surprise that flickered in Tetradore's eyes when she teased Henry about bathing. But it didn't last long before he was looking at Henry almost stoicly, like he was trying to hide something. He was indeed a mystery, always trying to hide what he was really feeling or thinking. It irritated Malia to no end most of the time.

She often wondered how things would be if she had gotten to know Tetradore before she met Frost and joined his pack. Would she be in Tetradore's pack instead? Would they still be this close? She didn't feel like anything should be different because they were in two separate packs. Both alphas had already assured her that they were no longer at each other's throats. There was a truce. She could be friends with whoever she wanted. She liked being able to be in both their worlds without feeling torn in two different directions. She could respect Tetradore without being under his rule. She could care about him and Henry without feeling like a traitor to her own pack. She could even have crushes without feeling she could never act on it. She just hadn't done so yet.

As Henry got to the tree branch, she was proud of him, one ear flicking toward Tetradore as he asked if Henry could get back down. She nudged Tetradore's shoulder playfully before looking up at Henry. "Don't worry, Tetradore has kindly offered to catch you should you lose your balance." She smirked, her eyes gleaming.

She could tell she'd successfully gotten Henry back with the conversation about him teaching her stuff when he sighed, looking a little awkward in that moment. She held back the urge to snicker with mischief. She noticed the look between the two boys after she saw those eyes widen on Tetradore's face. Henry was quick to speak up, saying nothing happened and she tilted her head, glancing between the two. Was there something she'd missed? She smirked at Henry. "Psh, it's not like he's jealous or anything. Neither one of us has anything he likes." She gave a daring look to Tetradore, testing the waters.

She watched Henry climb the tree and asked about lessons. She was quick to scowl when he laughed and told her he couldn't teach her. A small growl left her muzzle. "COYOTE, not dog, thank you very much. And I have faith in you. You're a great teacher." She winked teasingly before glancing at Tetradore. "Unless you think your own mentor can do better." She couldn't help but smirk again though when Henry's expression changed at Tetradore telling him to come back down. It was obvious it wasn't his favorite thing to do. He did try though and she cheered him on the whole way, cringing a few times when it seemed uncomfortable or just downright painful. Finally he was on the ground though and she let out a yip of excitement. "You did it, Henry! I knew you could."

It seemed the fun was going out of it though. Henry said he wanted to go home and Malia couldn't help but pout a little, her ears flicking back and her tail lowering as a soft whimper left her lips. "Well, it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for cheering me up, guys..." She let her voice trail off as she looked down at her paws.
