South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I watch as the mother hurries her boy away, my hopes falling as they disappear. I had only wished to help and yet all they see is a freak. My mind turns to other things, frivolous things in comparison. Like the shopping trip with Nadya and Raven or night I first met Isolt the vampire. She still scares me a little but I think I'm starting to get used to her. Raven's been spending more time with Tobi at the warehouse. I try to pretend this doesn't bother me but I know that deep inside, I'm afraid that I'll end up losing her. I feel like we can only get closer as friends and yet she's pulling away little by little. The day she went feral while we were playing has something to do with it. I'm sure of that. She looks at me in a new way now, a careful way, that she's so scared that she'll hurt me. I don't worry about it so much but I know she does. I can tell by the way she looks at me.

Of course I'm successfully distracted when I suddenly feel something poke at my shoulder. I snap my head around quick, jumping in my skin, but no one's there. Frowning in concern, I slowly turn my head back, wondering if I missed them run off or something. My brow furrows. Could a child be playing a prank on me? My lip twitches toward a smile at the thought. Could I have company after all? After a few moments go by with no repeat attack, I start thinking I just imagined it. Perhaps it was just a twig falling from the tree or something. I let out a sigh as I look down at the ground.

That's when something moves across the back of my neck, almost like a piece of clothing or something else equally soft and fluffy. I jump again and turn with a gasp, wide eyes staring but once more I see nothing but a tree and loneliness. My frown deepens, fear starting to seep from my pores as I consider using my shield to keep such things from happening again. This is only so fun when I can't see who I'm supposed to be playing with . I sense something and this time when I turn, I see someone with claws and a tail, a human by other means but fangs extending from his mouth like a vampire. Somewhere in the tangle of sudden panic that washes over me, I recognise the face and dark hair of Tobi but otherwise I'm too shocked to stay calm, lifting to my feet as I back peddle with a small scream.

I stumble back wards until my foot finds a stick and of course, I'm too busy back peddling to right myself so I fall backwards, right onto my back side on the ground. i blink up at the man gnashing his teeth and that's when it suddenly hits me. Tobi. I blink a few more times, just to be sure. I've never seen a Were turn only some parts of their body. How is that possible? My breath is coming in short shallow quakes, my heart racing as my chest heaves. I can't remember the last time I've been so scared and yet, he only asks if he'd scared me. I gulp, trying to catch my breath before I try for an answer.

"Yes..yes, you did scare me, Tobi! That wasn't very nice."

I frown, wanting him to know just how not good it was, my brow furrowing in almost a scolding gesture. He only looks at me a moment more though before he gets distracted by something else, looking over toward a small girl as she runs to an ice cream booth. She grabs her ice cream cone and runs off once more but I see Tobi's eyes watching the cold treat with wanting and hunger. Curious, I raise a brow. At his question, I shrug lightly.

"I don't know. Smells instensely sweet though."

I scowl. I've never seen or eaten ice cream before. He points toward the booth as if I didn't see, even as I'm craning my neck around since I'm still sitting on the ground. I glance back at him only to see him scratching at something around his neck. Intrigued, I tilt my head, squinting to try to see closer. What is that? Almost reminds me of the leather thing Raven got caught on her during the last full moon. I frown and slowly get to my feet, noting that he's been scratching at it a lot.

"Tobi...what is that around your neck? How did it get there?"

Meanwhile he's too entranced by the ice cream. He tells me that he wants it and that he can't tell someone named Risky. I tilt my head once more. Who the heck is Risky? I watch him lick his lips as he looks at me expectantly. I don't even notice that he still has a tail and that other people are noticing. Instead, I decide to try what I did before...negotiation. I sigh.

"Fine, I'll help you get some if you tell me how you got that thing around your neck. Don't you want it off?"
