South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He really did need to find a proper job. Since coming to Sancrosanct Raziel had spent most of his time in front of the storefronts performing magic tricks, emphasis on the word tricks, cheap slight of hand things that entertained the humans. Unfortunately the ones who were most amused by Raziel's shows were children. It wasn't that he didn't like children...actually, it was, he found them dirty, constantly having something sticky on them and that certain pitch they hit when they didn't get what they wanted right before they started throwing themselves around reminding him more of a seizure. The money the parents would toss in the cup he set out was meager but all he had so he wasn't about to piss them off by insulting their children.

It had been a rather good day paywise, being the summer had its perks since there were more people around at any given time of the day. Once the sun had gone down though and the humans dispersed for their bedtimes he had gathered his earnings and decided to cut through the park to get home, not at all daunted by the thought of any lurking supernaturals. Vampires tended not to bother with the magical variety if they could help it, silver and all. Raziel stuffed the almost $50 he had earned into his pocket before returning his attention back to his hat, wrinkling his nose in disgust as he examined it. Did he mention how he disliked children? One of them must have touched his hat as there was something that looked sticky and sugary on the rim. It could have been throw up with how he was looking at it. His attention had been so focused on his hat that he had almost tripped over a sleeping woman as he rounded a cluster of trees.

Raziel's gaze lingered over the woman leaned up against the tree with a book fallen on her lap before taking in the setup she had going, the pot abandoned and the fire beneath it reduced to simmering coal. A faint smirk toyed at his lips as he recognized the workings of a witch and not some wannabe human. Well now it was just a matter of what to do, the choices laid out before him were simple, he could simply walk away and go back to the couch he was currently surfing on in some horrible musician's home, he could wake her and introduce himself, or...he could join her. The last option was much more appealing since it had been quite a while since he had used his own ability, been able to escape reality and share in someone's dreams. He could either simply piggy-back and watch or alter them to his liking. Raziel was very adept once in their subconscious at finding what each individual feared or desired and using it to his advantage.

Once more Raziel took a cautionary look around to make sure they were enough off the beaten path to not be discovered before seating himself next to the woman, stretching his legs out along the ground and leaning up against the tree. He gave one last grumpy look at his hat, brushing the rim against his pant leg then perching it on his head, pulled down slightly to cover his eyes as he settled back. The certain energy that the mind emitted when asleep was much different than when awake, a difference that he was able to latch onto and weave like a loom. Colors and auroras of lights swirled behind his closed eyelids as he wormed his way into her dreams, taking a peek at what was currently going on in that beautiful head of hers. Normally Raziel didn't like to use his own image in the dreams or nightmares he created except for special circumstances and the fact that after a long day he was just too tired to bother looking through her subconscious for an image she found desirable.

It was also easy enough since the subconscious mind hardly questioned changes in dreams, melting from one scene to the next so easily and the contents feeling so real and right. The woman was already in some opera house-like setting which was quite a change from the normal mundane environments he had encountered in the past. It also made it quite easy simply having himself as just another patron sitting beside her in one of those high balconies. And on Raziel went, turning on the charm to woo the woman as he wasn't the type to simply jump on someone in their dreams. He'd start off slow, commenting on the performance, witty and smooth then adding questions about her, his hand lingering here and there in the barest of touches against her leg or arm in a casual nature. It was all a performance, one he was well used to, simply steering her in the direction to where he could divest her of her clothes and have her body against one of these plush red chairs. It wasn't the same as bedding a woman in reality but it was still fun, still triggered that pleasure center in the brain. Honestly he was quite impressed with the detail in her dream(most others a haze of images that he'd have to spend time sharpening) as there wasn't much he had to alter in order to enhance to make it seem like reality.
