South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

we built this city on broken glass

He had hardly anticipated that tap upon his shoulder, much less to turn and find his gaze meeting those violet eyes near as identical as his own upon the child who clutched at his own Mother in those moments. Aurora was quick to introduce herself and her....their.....daughter in turn. Frost's gaze content to linger upon the girl with her white gold hair that was near as white as his own in shade. How many of them did he have? Were they all still here? Were they all still alive? Perhaps he had never witnessed their births or held anytrue part in raising them and yet a part of him still felt....something at the sight of the child. How much he would have liked to mean something to Freya, to be someone she recognised in the way Micah and Isabella so readily recognised him each time he came home. He knew of the amount of brothers and sisters he had and yet there was something distinctly more personable when it came to children. His children. Given his own chequered past in this very place it was a surprise the Unit had kept any of his children at all. Frost, for now, content to dismiss such thoughts in the wake of those words offered to the child herself. Freya insisting she knew who he was, Frost inclined to believe her, even if she hardly held but a shred of emotional attachment toward him in turn. That feeling that shifted within himself was unexpected and yet he could hardly deny it all the same. Frost inclined to feel almost...protective over that child he had met not five minutes ago. How....nice it might be to get to know her, even if such thoughts, he knew, were decidedly foolhardy at best. His future was uncertain, he hardly intended to bring his own daughter into that. Frost content to inquire after his son in turn as Katrin insisted the boy was here. The stallion content to return his attention to the table before him as Aurora uttered her thanks and led Freyja back into that crowd.

Frosts own attention shifted back to Nadya then, his fingers inclined to brush against her own in that only true bit of affection he dared offered in the middle of that crowded hall. Those accented words leaving him then in that simple insistence he desired to meet those children and nothing more. A part of him simply seeking to assuage whatever concerns he knew had likely taken hold within Nadya herself over that very thing. Nadya had known the truth off his life from near the very beginning, the appearance of such children was no surprise and yet he was hardly foolish enough not to believe their very appearance might not....play upon his girlfriend's mind in some sense, especially when her children were not his own- even if Frost had, some time ago, come to see Micah and Isabella as just that. Nadya's ready insistence that he should have every chance to meet those offspring prompted that lift off his gaze to her own once more, whatever words he had so been about to offer cut short in the wake off her suggestion that, once this was over, should he desire to have them live closer then surely it could be arranged. Frost unable to prevent that touch of a simper from finding his lips. He knew, decidedly so, that Nadya meant just what she said. That she would allow such a thing purely for him was...endearing and yet his own head simply shook.

"No. I.... No. If, when they are older, they desire to seek me out I will hardly stop them. For now their place is wherever their Mothers desire to take them. Their mothers raised them, they hardly know me at all, I don't.....have any right to ask them to live near us. They managed so far without me, they dont need me."

His own head shook once more, that softened sigh of sorts quietly released and yet Frost chose to say no more upon it, the stallion holding something of an....interesting view upon the matter of those children he hardly knew and had held no part in raising. He had no right to them at all, at least, not within his own mind. Frost content with the life he had made for Nadya and himself and their own small family. Such matters hardly relevant all the same if they failed to survive this. The end of that dinner saw the stallion rise smoothly from his place at the table with that utterance he would be back in a moment. Frost easily comondering those apples only to find Nadya in the crowd once more and offer them toward her. She needed to eat, whether she cared to or not. That near playful shove off her shoulder against his own seeming to tease at his thoughts once more and jolt them from whatever consideration they had fallen upon, that simper finding his lips, despite it all as he easily allowed his shoulder to press back in that subtle affection. Nadya, he was sure, would have survived in this place better then she gave herself credit for.

Frost easily led the way back into Gaeska's home then. His thoughts already turning over that which needed to be done. To move well over one hundred horses was no easy task, especially when a number of them were foals- children. To minimise that cost off life was equally pointed. If those Hunters were pressed to far there was every chance they might simply open fire. After all, these Weres were the least valuable to them. Mares could be replaced easily, a few months and new foals would be on the ground to replace any they lost here today. Yet, even more so, Nadya would present a target for them. It would hardly take them long to spot a rider amongst those fleeing animals and whether dressed in Hunter garb or not there was every chance one Hunter amongst them would realise she was not a Were like the others. A task made all the easier if she was mounted upon the only stallion in the group and one far larger then the rest. Frost, that past year, having grown even taller within his equine form. While his human frame had surely finished growing his equine form had not. At nearly 18hh in the war horse garb he was far taller then any other mare here. Perhaps....Nadya might require another mount for this escape and yet who amongst them did he trust nearly enough for such a role?

He was oblivious, in that moment, to Nadya's own thoughts as she rested upon the edge of the bed to nibble upon that apple. Her voice so suddenly drawing his attention then. The women? It took several moments still for his mind to align with her own and understand that softly uttered query upon her lips. His own features frowning ever so slightly as he considered those words, one hand lifting to run through his hair before that violet gaze met her own. This one question he had never been asked before.

"Some of them I might remember but....most of them I never even knew their names. I was only sixteen or so and I....didn't want to remember, Naja. None of it was ever like the way it is with you."

Those intimate moments he shared with Nadya were vastly, vastly different to those off his youth. A part of the stallion inclined to bury those memories entirely beneath those far more pleasing moments he and Nadya engaged within. The man hardly concerned with offering her that truth before those others started to arrive- led by Gaeska and his own Mother. Frost content to count at least twenty five or so of those higher ranking mares. A large number of them with children beside them. Frost at last allowing that illusion to fall and offer them all a view of him in turn as they gathered around that house. Several gasps of surprise echoing in that room. Frost aware of his name being uttered throughout that group. Many of them, after all, had believed him dead after all these years. Frost inclined to clear his throat then as he stood beside where Nadya sat. Those women readily falling silent. The presence of an Alpha, it seemed, holding that affect all the same.

"Most of you will remember me I am assured. I am Katrin's son, Frost. This is Nadya, my girlfriend and yes- for those of you wondering- because I can hear those thoughts, she is not a horse. Many of you will remember the night I left those years ago and many of you will remember the promise I made to return. Tomorrow night I intend to leave again, this time with my Mother and any other who decides to join us- but I need your assistance."

That rush of conversation seemed to all but explode within that room then, one woman in particular insisting he was mad. Frost merely content to fold his arms across his chest and simply wait for that commotion to die down. His gaze shifting briefly back to Nadya before turning to that room at large. His presence alone, it seemed, enough to prompt them to silence again.

"If anyone does not want to be involved you can leave now, but you have been brought here today because each of you holds more sway in this herd then most others. You know as well as I do that many of the other mares will follow you blindly and that is all I need from you- to lead the others- when the time is right you can, each of you, make your own decision about leaving. Tomorrow night, Nadya and I will open the gates, once they are open I intend for a....stampede of sorts. They can stop one of you, even two or three of you- but they cannot stop all of you. If my plan works, by the time we reach the entrance gate- that should be open as well. Nadya and I will see to most of it. Keep the children in the centre of the herd if possible and I will need at least one older colt from amongst you. You, at the back, you will do. Come up here will you. What is your name? Hemlock? You're fourteen? That is plenty old enough. You are going to help Nadya and I with the gates tomorrow...."
