South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. South
all that is gold does not glitter
not all who wander are lost

That whispering, intoxicating power that swelled from that portal seemed alluring, or perhaps it was from those angry looking runes on the ground, he wasn't sure. But the power felt so very potent as though it was so very easy to drink that satanic brew of lies that felt offered for him to take onto himself. All he needed to do was grasp it! It felt like it was fashioned specially for him, as though it called directly to the darkest parts of his soul... Or whatever was left of it. This very portal felt tied to him as though it were his blood that was used to be the ink to draw those runes and symbols at his very feet. How it seemed to lull him in some unspoken trance, he nearly succumbs to it, for he was not a man with strongest of wills, most of the time anyway. This magic was powerful, too powerful or any one man to obtain, Brennan was sure of it. It would surely annihilate whoever it entered. He was sure that's exactly what it was designed to do, to seduce, devour, destroy. She nodded in answer to his question, as though words failed from that heady, beckoning magic.

Serafina spoke out suddenly, claiming they needed aid in distinguishing those runes if there was any hope in solving this muddled mess for good. At least this one little problem of theirs he hopefully had a solution to. It was now that he dared to tell her of the interesting man he had met at that bar. Apparently, he was no man at all, but a king. He wasn't quite sure he believed it and yet he uttered those words all the same. It seemed to strike a chord of recognition within the witch though. At least this way, they might just be able to salvage this so then Brennan could focus his attention on the other elephant in the room, the very devil that he owed a favour to. One hurdle at a time. He hoped the remedy of their lack of knowledge of blood magic would be enough to save them, at least in this. He may seem like a handsome clueless oaf, but he certainly planned ahead from time to time. Even when this peculiar situation seemed crafted by the hands of lady fate herself, falling conveniently in his lap. Creating last-minute fixes to world-ending problems, was Brennan in a nutshell. At least the warlock could charm his way out of anything.

"What is it with women and their fascination of royalty. I bet if I was a prince or some fancy title.. You would be all over me." Mischief dancing behind his silvery blue eyes. Trying to rile the woman before him. I>"Regardless Serafina, I would be happy for you to accompany me as my consort and plus one." He attempted sounding as proper as possible, posh and sophisticated. So very much unlike the roguish warlock. He made a gesture with his head before bowing swiftly. "M'lady." He grinned that shit eating grin, all to amused with himself. Hoping to maybe get something other than irritation from the now untouchable Serafina.

She seemed thoughtful for a moment whilst compiling a list of items she needed to make a seal of protection around the area, to keep whatever was still in there, well, still in. "Okay, okay so no flamethrower then." He almost sounded disappointed. The man was far from subtle and being a witch/warlock had seemed to be an integral part of that. Not for him. He seemed to get confused with why she needed fire because he accidentally got lost in simply staring at her for too long and those devilishly sexy curves. Serafina seemed so very irritated and impatient with him but it wasn't enough to stop him from enjoying her. "I follow you.. I will work obtaining your items." The Irish man muttered.

Serafina went off, further away from the portal to find her remaining obscure items. A sigh befell him as he began summoning those desired ingredients. Their uses completely perplexed and lost onto him. He truly was a sorry excuse for a warlock. But at least he was good at this summoning/creating things.. It had proven useful, time and time again.

His words were silent, cut off so entirely when he was jumped by that creature that launched through that waiting portal. He hardly expected that. He was dislodged off his feet, eating dirt and god knows what else on that filthy forest floor. He spat out the mouthful, ready to attempt to fend off the mighty beast. Unless you were fending off slobbery love kisses, and exclamations of what seemed like happy barks. It was like the beast cried out, HEY IM HERE!! ITS YOOU!! HEY!!!!!!!!!!

BRENNAN! Her voice was full of panic, and despite during those very last moments of his life flashing before his eyes, he smiled knowing she still cared. How quick she was to call forth her impressive water affinities, but if this beast wanted him dead, it would have already been too late. How oblivious he was when surrounded by Serafina. How distracted he became around that witch. She would surely be the death of him. The dark-haired Serafina crossed that distance swiftly, at the ready for battle. His neck would have been torn by now but such details didn't matter now. Because it was a friend and not foe that burst through the threshold of that portal. He gave her a sideways glance while he was being mauled with kisses and excitement from a 250 pounds of excited hellhound. He pulled the creature into a fierce hug, uncaring how bizarre this whole scenario appeared before the woman that seemed to hold his heart within her fingers on a leash. Of course, she hardly was aware of the power she had over him, his heart near dragging on the unforgiving ground at her feet behind her, hopelessly snagged on the very being that was her. At least for once, he hardly needed to think of it, at least with Barney boy here.

"This thing... is Barnabus.. I raised him as a puppy after his mother tried to feed me to her children." Well that was so very accurate. "We kept one another safe in there.." He gestured toward the portal.. "I thought he was dead!" He could hardly believe his own eyes, perhaps this was the only good thing that the portal had ever churned and spat out. "Get off now, you big lug.." He gently pushed him off so he could at least rise to his feet and perhaps properly introduce the pair.
