South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

we built this city on broken glass

How thankful he was for that falling snow. A near ludicrous idea and one he believed he'd never have considered after a veritable lifetime spent on those frozen plains. Yet, here and now, the snow softened the sound off his own hooves, it allowed him to blend within that mist and darkness far more readily than a horse of any other colour- and while that blood from his leg stained that white surface a near gleaming, crimson red- the snow was falling fast enough to cover it mere minutes later in turn. Along with his tracks. Those Hunters who pursued them would have a hard time following in this weather and with the clouds above lingering so grey and dark the promise of more snow was imminent. The weather, in all it freezing, plummeting temperatures and cascading snow- was on their side tonight. He could hear the distant sounds of those other horses. How many had escaped he hardly knew. Hundreds, by the sounds of it. Some in that herd he had led, some in the simple chaos or loss of their riders. How many chose to return or flee was another matter entirely and yet for once in their lives they had been given the choice. What they did with it now was their own. One snowy ear rotated atop his head once more as he pressed further and further away from the compound and out onto the depths of those frozen plains. He hardly had time to pause and consider. Not with those Hunters still so close. The moment they realised he was not amongst those horses they rounded up they would begin search for him. He had already been a veritable thorn in their sides. Now he had taken himself to the pinnacle of their wanted list- along with Nadya. They would not forget the sight of a panther any time soon. How readily he hoped Nadya had murdered some of them. That dark thought inclined to linger with some potency within his mind if only for the satisfaction of thought alone. Frost picking up speed then. His heavy frame, in the least, well designed for that snowy navigation even despite that sting in his back leg.

He could feel the thrum of that pack bond. Nadya certainly still alive if nothing else. His mate his single and only priority in that moment now that his Mother had fled the opposite direction across those plains. She would be one of the last they followed, if they followed her at all. A single horse hardly worth the effort. Those who stayed in groups, and Nadya and himself, far more of a target to focus on and yet- that was his very plan from the beginning. His could very near taste Nadya's scent upon the air now even if he could barely see more than a few feet in front of him. The heavy stallion headed for that rocky outcrop they had left what remained of their supplies at. Nadya, surely, having headed for that very point. It was that other horse he saw at first. The young stallion attempting to shield himself from the driving snow. The sight of Nadya upon his back one Frost had hardly anticipated and yet in that moment he hardly questioned how she'd managed to ride another horse so far. That change overcame him readily. Frost shifting from horse to man only to reach up and help his girlfriend down from that saddle. Her body was near frozen beneath his fingers. Frost readily allowing that affinity for heat to engulf her entirely as his lips found her own with eager determination. As if, somehow, to assure himself she was entirely alright. After this- he would need to take her somewhere warm. That very suggestion of Cyprus seeming well received- if only for the beach and the mojitos. How very.....far away the idea seemed from that frozen wasteland they existed upon now. Frost's words halted by Nadya reaching suddenly forward to pluck that rope from around his neck. Surprise dancing upon his features for barely a moment at the realisation he had forgotten about it entirely. His violet gaze finding her own then.

"I...oh. I hadn't remembered that was still there. Thank you."

It was Nadya's wounds, however, that required more attention then his own in that moment. Frost more then willing to allow that second off his affinities to extend then and absorb each off her own wounds only himself. The stallion wincing slightly with that very effort. His own injured leg seeming to throb all the more in protest and yet- he so hardly had to wait long. Nadya quick to complete that healing cycle of sorts the pair had long since achieved between them. Her lips finding his own again to steal away that damage. Frost more then willing to deepen that kiss ever so slightly- before the realisation they still had company saw him near abruptly pull away to eye that other stallion. Those public displays of affection still a notion the Icelandic man was content to work on. Nadya stepped smoothly away then to retrieve that saddle bag and see to finding new, warmer, dryer clothing with his own heat to shield her from the cold. It was only once Nadya had attended to that task that her attention shifted to her previous mount, the young woman removing that saddle and bridle, Frost content to watch with intrigue as she offered him that choice. The young stallion peering back the way he had come and towards that facility before turning to look westward and across those plains.

"Ég veit hvaða leið ég myndi fara."

Frost offered simply, his shoulders lifting in a shrug, the younger stallion content to eye his superior for a moment before wheeling around to head out across those plains and away from those Hunters. The vaguest simper managing to find Frost's lips before his attention returned to Nadya once more with that nod off his head.

"We are going to have to go quickly. Much more quickly than before. The airport is the first place they are going to look for us. We need to reach it before one of their riders does to alert the Council members in the city and shut the airport down."

They could, reasonably, hide within Iceland itself and yet he suspected Nadya was not inclined to linger for....months away from her children even within a country as glorious as his own. That shift readily overcome Frost once more. His newly healed form hardly finding that change difficult. The stallion content to stand while Nadya readied herself before lifting that leg to allow her to use as a step to swing up and onto his back. Her riding skills, over the time they had been here, having improved significantly. Frost waited only so long as it took his girlfriend to assure him she was ready before starting off once more. That trot quickly becoming a canter to further that distance between himself and that place he had been born. Those Hunters would already have begun to fan out in search of any horses they could find. A rider no doubt dispatched towards the city. With the snow as it was those phone lines would surely be down, affording them at least a little more time. Still- they would hardly make it in a day. Frost had, never before, quite pushed himself so far as he did that very day to put as much distance between himself and Nadya and those Hunters. The stallion keeping up that canter for miles on end, his pace shifted to another mile of trotting by way of rest before picking up that pace again. The pair having near doubled the amount they had travelled in a day as compared to that last trip.

Even despite that sheer cold, that sweat had managed to settle upon Frost's figure all the same by the time they finally stopped, his figure near damp with it and threatening to freeze all over. The man forced to increase that output of power once more as Nadya set-up that camp for the evening. Frost taking the first watch that night to allow Nadya to sleep before waking the woman just after midnight to switch places with her and allow himself that chance to finally rest. His sleep, that night, almost utterly dreamless if only for exhaustion. Frost reluctant to wake the next morning when Nadya finally stirred him. The stallion almost sluggish to to force his limbs to pick up that same pace that day for that final leg. It was very near midday by the time they finally reached a town, Frost so relenting to allow Nadya to drive that rental car to the airport. The equine falling asleep once more in the passenger's seat. He would need his energy, after all, to summon illusion enough for them both to get through that airport and onto that plane to Cyprus and as far from Iceland as they could get for now. Frost intending to lose their trail in a plethora of countries over the next few weeks. The man fishing out an entirely new set of passports from his backpack now to pass to Nadya.

"Your Marilyn Holmes and I'm your husband, Noah. We need to- god damnit."

That cuss was utter beneath his breath. Frost quick to summon that affinity for illusion then, wrapping them both in those veritable disguises as no less then three of those hunters from the Mounted Unit strode passe with determination. Frost shifted his attention to the large screen displaying flights overhead, his arm wrapping around Nadya as he did to turn her towards it in turn- as if both preoccupied with it alone. Those illusions evidently solid enough, despite his exhaustion, for the pair to go unnoticed as the Hunters passed. Frost content to let his violet gaze follow them as they disappeared into an office near that security checkpoint. His voice uttered softly to Nadya then.

"I should be able to keep this illusion up until we are on the plane at least. None of the Hunters know I have this power, I learned it after I left so they will be looking for us as we usually appear. We should be fine, but we will need to be vigilant all the same. Take these passports and head to the counter there to buy the tickets. Im going to keep an eye on them from here. I'll be right here."

He offered that simple reassurance then, his lips tugging into a simper as he gestured to that counter. His attention shifting between Nadya as she went to get those tickets and the office the Hunters had gone into. The sudden buzzing of that airport intercom sounding above the noise of those travelling passengers. Frost frowning abruptly at those Icelandic words. This....was a problem. Each and every one of those screens within the airport suddenly flicked to display a photograph of Nadya and himself. One each in their human forms, one of Frost as a horse taken several years ago at that very Facility they had just fled and another, albeit blurry, one of Nadya as a Panther taken by someone just that day before. Those icelandic words repeating across the loudspeaker then as he felt Nadya return to his side.

"They are saying we are dangerous fugitives wanted by the government and there is a reward for information leading to our capture. They are telling the public not to approach us because we are dangerous....."
