South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Raylin Chike

Raylin is so entirely wrapped up in her imagination of food that she misses the brief frown that so dances across his lips. Ray sighing at the thought of such delicious food, Colt's voice drawing her attention back to him as he readily agrees about the food, "I am seriously jealous of you," she sighs again, though she tosses her bar-mate a playful smile before waving down Tim, who simply stalks down the bar. She can't help the surprise that flits across her face as Tim is so blatantly rude to Colt, an irritation builds in her. What was his problem? And in her moment of exasperation, she truly doesn't realize the danger she had put herself in, that this vampire sitting next to her was anything but friendly, that he was a deceiver, cunning and successfully playing his prey into right where he wanted her. No, Raylin was far too trusting, pushing away the red flags that so constantly wave in her head from being around supernatural creatures. It was something she had gotten used to over the years.

As Tim grumpily takes his order, Raylin flashes a smile at him before turning back to Colt, her brows frowning in the slightest as she notes the hurt that so crosses his face. She feels bad then for him, releasing a sigh, "I'm sorry. Don't worry about him," she assures him, reaching out a hand and gently placing it on his arm and she pats it. It wasn't really anything other than an assurance, to make him feel better, but the man begins to talk about the hole and she grins at him brightly, "It was the best bar fight I have ever seen," she laughs, her mind replaying that scenario. Sure, she ducked behind the bar to watch it happen, but Ray did stay and watch it unfold, probably not the wisest thing but she couldn't help it. The teasing grin he throws her way is infectious as she smiles back, her grin only widening as he makes a comment. Giggling she shakes her head, "No, Tim is a sweetheart but he's more of a father figure more than anything," she shrugs, "It wouldn't be the first time I've chatted with someone in this bar and left with them," she admits, hardly embarrassed by her sex life.

"I will admit though, it's the first time I've seen him so... protective. It's weird," she muses briefly before offering to give him directions and handing him her ancient phone. He pushes it back politely and she shoves it back into her messenger bag, as he explains his side of the story. "Sure! I could do that, let's at least have a drink before we head out though, I'm planning on leaving after this anyways," she tells him, "The ocean is amazing, isn't it?" Her eyes brighten at the mention of it, how she loved the ocean! She spent almost every morning out there, catching a wave or two before work, she had grown to love the wildness of it, something that called to her soul. She's distracted by the slamming of the glass, Raylin jumping at the sound of it. Flashing her irritation on Tim, she glares at him, "What gives, man?" She snaps at him, Tim simply giving her a warning look before walking away, "He is being an outright dick," she grunts under her breath.

Still, it doesn't seem to phase Colt too much as they finally exchange names, his accent thick as he says her name. She grins at him as he talks about calling all the girls m'ams. It makes her laugh again, her shoulders shrugging, "I guess I can't fault you for that one," she says as she clinks glasses with him. She takes a drink of her beer though she isn't lost on the fact that this man quite nearly finishes his alcohol in one go, her eyes widening slightly, "You must have a high tolerance for alcohol, even for a vampire," she comments brightly before shifting towards him and asking him her crazy question. The baffled look that so crosses his face has Ray laughing apologetically, though she doesn't outright apologized, the girl was far too curious and she wanted to know what they felt like. As he agrees to her outrageous question, he explains careful and Ray simply nods, her eyes bright with excitement. Carefully and very gently, she reaches out her fingers and gently press against his fangs.

She's careful to avoid the edges though she does explore them a bit. Truly, Ray wasn't sure what she was expecting, the felt exactly like any other teeth to her but it was still fascinating to see the razor sharp edges, Ray leaning closer and putting a hand on his knee. She leans forward more, thoroughly invading his bubble as she explores more closely, "RAYLIN!" a deep booming voice startles her, she very nearly slices her finger on his fang but she's lucky enough to pull back quickly, her hand leaving Colt's knee as she whirls around to see Tim storming down the bar, on her side and grabbing her by the arm. He drags her off the chair and pulls her away, his grip hardly bruising by any means, but her heart picks up, thundering wildly in her chest, "What the hell is your problem?!" She whispers angrily under her breath as they come to a stop at the end of the bar, her brown eyes glaring angrily up at Tim. "What do you mean 'what is my problem'? You just put your hands in a vampire's mouth! Are you stupid or do you just have a death wish?" he growls at her, his eyes blazing with fury. Wrenching her arm away from him, she takes a step back and folds those toned arms across her chest.

"What I do is none of your business, you've never had any problem with me before leaving the bar with supernaturals, let alone vampires," she grounds out, the girl hardly a stranger to one night stands, "Back off, I'm fine," she snaps as she turns on a heel and starts back towards the bar. "Ray...," he calls and she pauses briefly, glancing over her shoulder, "Just promise me you won't go home with him. He gives me a bad feeling," he states. Raylin doesn't answer, though she does think on it as she returns to her seat, the anger quickly melting away. Tim was a lot of things but the man did have a knack for bad feelings, perhaps she would listen to him, perhaps not. Settling back in her seat, she smiles apologetically at him, "I'm sorry about that, he really is just over protective," she sighs, taking another drink of her beer. "I decided I'm going to stay for another beer, just to appease Tim but I can still give you directions," she says before standing up again, "Don't worry about paying, its the least I can do for how rude my friend was," she smiles at him before grabbing her coat and stuffing her hands in the sleeves. She leaves her half full beer and her messenger bag, her gaze looking up to meet Tim's eyes.

"I'm just pointing him in the right direction, don't worry I'll be right back," she calls down the bar before turning back to Colt and leading him out the front door. The cool air caresses her face and she sighs at how refreshing it is, stepping out of the way so he has room to pass. Turning to look up at him, "Look, I really am sorry but if you want to do this again I'd be happy to show you around, I could take you to the ocean and maybe you could learn to surf," she grins up at him. "Now, what's the address so I can make sure you get there, we could even call you a cab, she states as she glances out to the cars zooming by in the dark.
