South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

we built this city on broken glass

He had anticipated, perhaps, some measure of withdrawal from nadya in the wake of the loss of the child. It was only natural, after all, that she would seek that time with herself. He had seen it before in those women he had grown up around and yet he had, in turn, perhaps been naive in his own belief that Nadya was fine when she had not been. His mate had not recovered from that loss as he anticipated she would. Frost was inclined to admit that he should surely have been ...better in understanding her emotions even if feelings, in any form, so seemed to baffle him to a certain extent. In the very least he had learned from this experience even if he remained uncertain as to those processes of grief. Nadya had taken far longer then himself to come to terms with that loss and yet was it truly so surprising? It was her body that had suffered that physical loss. That alone would surely prompt within her a different level of distress. Frosts own features frowned ever so slightly in a furthered contemplation before he queried Nadya's need for the twins in those weeks that followed. She had seemed near desperate for their company and attention- and distinctly unwanting of his own. The both of them, perhaps, having handled that situation badly even if in two vastly different ways.

Nadya, it seemed, was caught off guard by his query of that night and the directness in which he approached it. Was she truly so surprised? Frost was distinctly assured there were few matters in which he did not approach directly. The stallion, in most circumstances, inclined to be nothing short of blunt. Much to the disdain of many around him. His bluntness, more than once, managing to offend one being or another and yet Frost hardly cared much for those very opinions in turn. The war horse a distinctly stoic creature when he had a mind to be. Nadya, perhaps, the single exception to those normally apathetic tendencies. Frost more often than not inclined to try for Nadya alone. His features frowned once more as she spoke then. Nadya attempting to explain her own feelings in the wake of his sudden absence and how that asbence had given her the belief he simply no longer ...desired her. That he somehow regretted taking her as his mate. The very idea in itself was ridiculous. Frost, in that moment, unable to hide that look of surprise that found his features in response and yet, he supposed, it was not illogical that she might have seen his absence as some sort of abandonment- even if he had hardly desired it as such.

A heavy sigh found its way into his throat, those words caught upon his lips as Nadya shifted closer, his violet gaze turned toward her as she insisted they could repair that relationship all the same. Avaccation, it seemed, her answer to returning that closeness they seemed to have lost over these past weeks. Frost, once more, considering those words before those ever cool, smooth lyrics parted his lips.

"I thought you needed the space, the time to yourself, I did not intend to make you feel as if I felt any less for you or regretted you in any sense. Neither is true. My....feelings for you have not changed, Naja."

Those words were laced with a decidedly clear affection. Frost, once more, allowed that simper to find his lips for her alone before it faded. That singular potent question finding him then. He had always anticipated having a child with Nadya. That expectation still entirely existent- so provided Nadya was equally as inclined and yet, with those struggles of the last and too- their varying species- that conception had proven difficult in the past. Her silence seemed to continue for far longer than he had anticipated. The stallion determined to prevent himself from reaching for the confines of her mind all the same. Had she changed her mind in regards to that child? Did she fear suffering that same loss again? A second miscarriage was....possible. Perhaps that fear had simply become too much. That sudden, near whispered answered prompted those words to his lips, Frost once more prevented from offering them as Nadya lent forward to find his lips with her own in that sudden, stolen kiss. One Frost was all-too eager to return before she pulled gently away, her hand resting against his face still as she insisted she would enjoy trying for a child again. Those very words seeming near familiar. That simple love he had for his mate inclined to bloom within his chest. A soft chuckle hummed within his own throat, Frost inclined to steal another kiss as he leaned further forward then. His chest pressed agianst her own, Frost seeking to gently press Nadya backward and onto that picnic blanket as he leaned over her. The woman caught beneath that blanket and himself then as Frost neatly propped himself up on his elbows. That grin he offered, this time, far more lasting as his lips pulled softly from her own. Those words decidedly teasing.

"The twins are going to have to stop sleeping in our bed. I am sick of sharing you. I never was good at that to begin with."
