South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Beachside Bar & Bistro

Resting right on the beach near the small, locally owned shops and markets sits a bar and bistro with an elegant yet modern interior. There is seating both indoors and outdoors on the back patio where one can enjoy the melodic sounds of saltwater waves and fresh air. The menu consists of French dishes alongside American and Seafood choices and a wide range of liquors at the bar inside to accommodate the varied tastes and cravings of its customers. It is a charming little establishment that allows for those needing a break from the busy city streets to come and unwind.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was nice to have a conversation with someone again other than himself - the orca pleased to have run into a shifter and though he had almost eaten her he was absurdly happy he didn't. It was hard to keep his mind on track, his excitement hardly allowing him to stay on one topic for too long. Bouncing from anxiety to giddiness back to anxiety and back again. It had to be exhausting having a conversation with him. Yet, Zach is entirely unaware of the way he comes off in that moment, the shifter being, more or less, happy as clam to have communication. After he finishes his shift, he's gesturing with his fins wildly, not noticing how very close he is to smacking Arya's much smaller body - even in this form he doesn't realize how big he is and how much damage he can do if he's not paying attention.

When he demands playfully if she was calling him fat he can't help but let a roaring laughter roll down their mental connection as she sticks her tongue out him in the most adorable way. Her prompt 'no,' even manages to pull another toothy grin out of him, "I mean, most of this is flubber and fat so... you aren't wrong," he laughs again wishing he was in human form so he could simply gesture towards his body, instead he sticks out his very large tongue in return. He peers at her through his dark eyes as he introduces himself with his abundance of energy. He's excited when she introduces herself in turn as he tests out her name down the mental connection, "Wait, wait, your name is Arya, like in Game of Thrones, right?" He questions mid thought just as he catches the way she waves a fin in return. Grinning, he floats closer - completely invading her personal space, although, was there personal space in the ocean? He wasn't sure.

He's distracted by those thoughts momentarily as Arya's questioning pulls him out of it, "Hmm? Oh, only part time. We migrate every year and have homes in different part of the world," he states just as she apologizes. Laughing, he waves her off with a large fin, "It's not rude, there's not a lot of shifters that migrate these days so I'm sure it's a little weird to hear of it. I would say only... half my pod shifts when we reach our destination the rest of them stay in this form mostly because they don't want to deal with the human world anymore," he shrugs down the connection, "We were heading north when I got separated from them, there's a really good hunting ground up there and that's where we end up spending a few months. But... it's freezing and there's nothing to do when you shift," he pouts at the memories. "When we have younger shifters in the pod we always take a break so they can go to school and after they finish we move on, if you go to college you're on your own and have to find the pod later but our patterns don't change much so we aren't very hard to find."

"This is the most interaction I've had with someone outside of my pod in, well, a long time. I haven't been on land for a months now," he states though the orca is hardly looking for any sympathy, it was a simple fact and... he was used to it. This was how he had always lived his life with the exception of deciding to go to college, what a fun time that was! Blinking at her small form as she resurfaces, he floats to the the surface behind her as he loudly forces air through his blowhole, sure to gather attention on land if anyone was close by. As they continue chatting, his excitement builds in the pit of his stomach as she offers him clothes, Zach wanting to spin in circles or jump out of the ocean to make a splash. "WOULD YOU REALLY?!" He roars down their mental connection, his excitement far... too much for the simple offer. Zooming forward, he waves his fins frantically in a comical way as he parts his mouth into a toothy grin, "Arya, that would be awesome! Will you show me around? Be a tourist with me?" He bombards her with questions his enthusiasm taking over all other emotions. "Where should we go? This is so exciting!" He grins at her as he swims to the surfaces and remains with his head partially out of the water as he peers towards the beach.
