South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Always she heard the solo and chorus of howls each night coming from each member of her pack. From the oldest to the youngest each one was allowed to sing whatever they wanted. Some sung out to call for a particular wolf to be at their side. Others joined in together to prepare for a hunt. One could issue a challenge through song, or another could cry out in sadness. Each wolf had their own voice. The notes could be similar to another, but one always knew who the other was simply based on the fact each wolf had such a distinctive sound. Though she did not know what her own howl would sound like. While others were allowed to sing to their hearts content she was forbidden to do so. When she heard the sound of her own their chorus did nothing more than increase her desire to take part. That need to feel like she belonged was far too engraved within her instincts, wanting to be close to her pack, even though they wanted nothing to do with her. Each time she would try to howl within her cage she was immediately silenced. Take away a wolf's ability to howl and you have nothing more than an empty husk. Even now without being oppressed by her pack she still held no ability to perform such a thing. She was broken. Her pack made sure of that. Even without their presence around her she still couldn't make a sound even when she tried. Which was why she was here within the park in the first place. Raven was making her way towards a most secluded spot where none could watch her humiliate herself when she tried to teach herself to howl. It was a shame and an embarrassment to her species.

The oddly marked lupine was moving silently through the increased shadows as the sun was close to falling to the other side. The full moon fading away in the dark sky. Massive grey paws barely left impression within the emerald blades as her lithe frame moved swiftly, keeping herself from view. Many fled the park as soon as night fell and with good reason to. For at the edge of Hyde Park laid the boundaries of just some of the parks of the Outskirts. There within the thick wooded area was a safe haven for any and all Weres, but they were not alone. Some vampires brought their prey only to discard them in a place, their victim never to be seen again. Dark Hunters poised within the shadows waiting for their own victim and to uphold their sworn duty to protect the innocent humans from creatures they just simply could not understand. One grey trimmed ear twitched when she heard the gentle strumming of strings being played. Curious and finding the tunes pleasing she changed course and headed in that direction. Blue-grey eyes narrowed her sights on the oddly dressed male with the device that produced the sound sitting in his lap. Grey trimmed banner twitched side to side in an attentive gesture as all but he remained. Sleek ebony frame would move silently and swiftly towards the boy her head lowered in a non-threatening manner. Although he was male, she remained wary of being in his presence, but he was a young one and a human, something telling her he was no threat.

The oddly marked lupine would watch him suspiciously unsure if he would attack or not. Though really there was hardly a thing he could do. She had an arsenal of powers let alone her own teeth and claws and a nasty habit of keeping herself self-preserved should she be in such a threatened environment. Ebony cranium would tilt to the side as she watched how his fingers strummed the strings on the guitar, delighted to hear them, as her frame would shift in a sitting position. Should the young man take focus on the beast before him he would notice the grey tinged scars that were scattered amongst her obsidian frame. Her back and sides carried many, her legs held jagged trails, but it was her face that made it all to clear just how she was treated in the past. Those four marks permanently ruining her face both in this form and her other. Her grey painted banner would lie beside her grey paws as a gentle soft voice would easily brush into his mind.

"You...can play? May I hear...more?"

All she wanted to hear was music...even if she could not make her own.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
