South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Maybe this princess could save herself.

That sounds like a pretty good story too.

Samantha was certainly trying not to get attached to the dark haired man that seemed to occupy her thoughts more often than she cared to admit. No, Samantha was certainly sure that Kit would bolt from the table the instant that her condition slipped from her lips. She could hardly enjoy the handsome man that sat across from her, even though he so easily seemed to find joy in her presence. Her nerves got the better of her now, reaching forward to find comfort in the soft press of his hand against hers. How hard it was for the woman to focus for a minute. How she wanted his skin against hers once more! Her eyes fluttered closed momentarily as Kit's thumb rubbed those soft circles on her skin. How good he was at soothing her, and yet she wasn't entirely convinced that he would still be sitting there in a moment. For a moment, as she leaned in, she considered what it would be like to just ignore the situation at hand and press her lips to his. But she didn't, instead, she tried to remain confident as she spoke those words that she so dreaded.

The moment those words slipped from her lips, Samantha pulled her affinity close to her, gauging those emotions as they passed through him. The shock that he felt emitted an aura around him, the emotion - combined with that touch of their hands - was strong enough that Samantha was able to see those thoughts that so passed through his mind. She sat silently, watching him carefully as she let the shock of what she'd told him settle in front of him. She didn't respond to his question, at least not at first, still allowing him a moment to simply process the weight of the situation that they were both a part of. Instead, she squeezed his hand, pressing her fingers gently through his in an attempt to reassure him. "Um," Samantha cleared her throat, her free hand reaching up to tuck a lock of her red hair behind her ear as she fought the courage to speak, clearly surprised that he hadn't bolted entirely. "My best guess is around eight weeks... maybe ten? I don't remember exactly when we... but you're the only person I've... so..." She sounded so foolish. How little protection she had given herself and yet she found the situation to be so unlikely that she still couldn't believe what was happening.

"I can feel it," Samantha said quietly, her gaze finally breaking from him. She put her free hand on her still flat stomach as she looked down at it. "Their emotions, I don't know if I've ever told you about what I can do. I... I read emotions and I... I can feel it, constantly." She offered a small smile, that first bit of her own emotion showing as she considered the child. Despite her best efforts to not get attached to the child she would most likely lose, she had bonded with the idea of it, especially feeling those emotions emitting from it. How she had been unaware that a child could feel things in the womb, and yet she could read it as plain as she could read anyone else. "It's happy right now, it has been since you sat down here." It was a true statement, that flutter having almost sensed Kit's presence before she did. Was it possible that it knew, or was it merely reacting to the way Samantha herself felt for the man? Or was it some strange combination of the two?

It was his next question that threw her, that simple question of if she needed anything. What did she expect from him? Honestly, the fae woman hadn't gotten that far. She hadn't considered what it might be like to have him here if he chose to stay. "I don't know," Samantha said honestly, her gaze returning to his. "I didn't expect that you'd still be here. I..." She squeezed his hand once more, unsure of how to explain the relief she felt in simply having him near and having him know her secret. She wanted to keep him around, to experience more nights like the one that they'd shared in California. And yet she couldn't find herself voicing those wants and desires. He was looking for his brother, and this would trap him from that. "I guess, I'm wanting to know what you want. I don't know anything about fae pregnancy. I thought, I didn't even think I could get pregnant since I died... I don't know what is going to happen next, and it's not like you can go to any mundane doctor for this." She sighed softly, squeezing his hand once more. "But I do know that I haven't been able to get you off my mind since California, even before I found out about this."
