South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

i know just what you're running from

There are moments, in one's life, where they look back at a particular moment and can say, 'That was the day my life changed'. For Bjørn, the first major change had happened in a forest far removed from this one, in a year long since passed. A large were-cat had altered the course of his life, taking him from his humble farm-hand life and thrusting him into a dark and dangerous world. There were points where he recalled that time bitterly, cursing the cat and the hunter for making him the monster he is. Others have avoided him and Bjørn has watched the years slip by like sand through his fingers. Friends died, family died but he remained.

He still remembers the day his mother died, her once beautiful black hair turned silver with age. Bjørn had avoided his home after he changed, the fact that he no longer aged reminding him that the people he loved would pass from the earth and leave him all alone. So, he avoided them, lost precious moments and gave up watching his parents grow old. It had been a cold winter day when the man had heard of his mother's illness and, like the good son he had once been, Bjørn returned to her side. Tears had fallen from her green eyes, skin creased and wrinkled from laughing, crying, and worrying. They talked like old times, mother and son once more reunited, even if only for a fleeting moment.

Bjørn had held her hand as she passed from the world, the light fading away until there was nothing but an empty shell left behind. A piece of him died that day, his father having passed years earlier. As he dug through the frozen ground with an old shovel, his blood making the handle slick, tears fell unbidden from hazel eyes. Bjørn remembers the way the tears stung his cold cheeks and, as he sits under the tree, his mind pulling him back into the dark swirl of memories, the man wonders if his life is worth it. How much pain has he caused? How much... his thoughts are interrupted by the soft touch of a paw pad against the top of his head.

Eyes shoot open and Bjørn tilts his head back until he captures the culprit in his hazel gaze. As the cat chirps at him and a small, uncertain smile tugs at the edges of his lips. It paws his head again and Bjørn offers a soft, deep chuckle. Pulling a hand out from his pouch, the hunter reaches up to catch the cat's soft leg with his chilly hand. His voice rumbles out, breaking the silence of the forest as he says, "Well hello there, pretty lady. What are you doing out here all alone? Aren't you cold?" Stiff fingers run through the soft fur of the leg and he allows himself to hold her paw a moment before dropping his hand back down. Looking into those inquisitive blue eyes, Bjørn lets out a soft sigh and repositions his legs to allow the cat room to jump down into his lap.

Hazel eyes look back to the perched feline and he says, "Well come on then, pretty lady. No use in us both freezing to death." A smirk pulls at his mouth and he pats his legs, showing her that he welcomes the cat's company. Shaking his head in disbelief at himself, Bjørn adds, "It's a good thing I'm a cat person."
