South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

He still loathed himself more than anything for what he did to Isolt that morning when she tried to tear herself away from him forever. He knew he couldn't survive without her, so he acted out of pure desperation, using his power of persuasion to try to make her forget she was ever pregnant. It half worked, anyway. His main goal was to keep her from wanting to die. At the time, he told himself the only way to make that work was to make her forget she lost a child, because the pain just seemed too much for her to bear. Yet when the anger flooded her eyes that day, he knew he would never be able to take that away from her. Probably didn't help that he hadn't eaten too much in the past few days since they lost their daughter, either. He was weaker and his power dimmed out too soon. She turned on him, slapping him and asking if he loved their daughter. Of course, it was never a matter of that to him, but rather a matter of loving his wife so much he couldn't live without her. Yet Isolt hadn't looked at the vampire man the same since.

She was still alive, and not trying to take herself out of this world anymore, but she couldn't forgive him for a time. Damon tried to give her space, as much as he could. He still hated the idea of being too far from her for too long and not knowing if she was okay and not trying to take the ring off anymore and throw herself into the daylight, but as the days wore on, his beautiful ginger seemed to start flourishing on her own. It was a slow process, but she was coming back into herself little by little and his heart ached with joy to see it. Even if she couldn't come to him yet, he knew he had an eternity to make it up to her. And somehow, he told himself he would. The silence between them was deafening, but he could stand it, just to know she was alive and well in this world and still wearing his wedding ring.

He'd decided to go to the tavern that night to work on some book work, wanting to give Isolt her freedom as much as he could. He was bent over his laptop, trying to work out the budget for the next month when he felt her presence more than anything else. The immortal's whole body seemed to tense with anticipation as he listened to every breath taking footfall on the stairs outside. He could smell her tantalizing perfume and his mouth watered. She still made his body stir in all the right ways and he would never regret a second of it, even if it was silent torture to have her so close and yet not get to touch her. When the office door started to open, he braced himself, unsure of what it meant for his wife to be approaching him willingly this time. Would this be the next nail in the coffin? Would she yell at him again for what he did? The man didn't dare to hope that she'd forgiven him. He slowly looked up with bated breath, and then was infinitely glad he didn't need breath in the first place or it would have left him dead on the floor the moment his gaze saw her.

Ever so slowly, his blue steel eyes skimmed up her figure. He traced those delicate womanly curves with hungry delight, trailing over her shapely legs and tiny waist in that little black dress like his life depended on it. She didn't even need to knock, the sound jarring him from his reverie even as his fangs dropped into view to betray the effect she was having on him. Clearing his throat, Damon did his best to compose himself, straightening up in the chair as he closed his mouth to cover his traitorous teeth. Her voice, so hauntingly delicate as it purred, made his skin tingle anew and his head tilted in a new curiosity at the tone. She didn't even sound a little mad. What was this trickery? The vampire felt the first rays of hope thumping in his chest. His throat went dry and he faltered for words as she started to make her way closer. He couldn't stop drinking her in, this evanescent angel that he wanted in his life forever and always. She made her way behind him and his skin shuddered in anticipation even though she hadn't touched him yet.

His blue gaze watched her slender finger skim across the top of the desk, entranced as it found its way to the laptop and slowly brought it closed. As her breath floated past his cheek, Damon gulped. Usually, he would have something cheeky or corny to give back in return, yet his parched throat thought otherwise. Instead, he gave a soft nod and slowly lifted to his feet, though just knowing she was behind him was enough to make him more careful in his movement. He was almost afraid to touch her, certain it would ruin this dream he was having. He turned as if in slow motion, finally bringing his steel gaze to meet her own. The man couldn't help but lick his lips as he drank her in once more. "Where to?" The words almost croaked out of him.
