South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. It was that very feeling of power that prompted the heavy horses hooves to pause upon the earth. The near ethereal mare, in that moment, seemed to glow all the more as she sought to embrace the dun stallion in a way she had been nothing if not determined to refuse to allow from Frost himself. The equine's violet gaze lingered upon the unicorn in that moment, as if seeking to scrutinize her every move and yet- what exactly did he hope to see? Some proof that this was a mere illusion as Alexander suggested? If this truly was nothing more than a light show, then what did she hope to achieve with it? The very sensation of that affinity within the air so hardly felt like the kind of magic that stirred with the casting of falsified visions and yet it was surely some sort of affinity all the same. How puzzling. Frost, for several moments, was content to remain where he stood. The equine simply observed the unicorn and his 'competition' as they broke away from their embrace. The dun, in the wake of that touch, seemed to have found his spirit once more. His previously broken form was nothing if not seemingly.....restored. The stallion suddenly filled with an undeniable vigor once more. Was that her power? Some sort of....spiritual....uplifting? Frost's head shook lightly as his hooves thudded dully against the earth once more, carrying him towards the pair. Regardless of what the Unicorn had done- or intended to do- the Dun pony seemed all the more besotted with the mare. As if he truly believed she might choose him over Frost himself! It was instinct alone, perhaps, that prompted Frost's own neck to arch over, his steps lifting a little higher in that distinctly equine display of his own superior physique. It couldn't.....hurt, to have her look at him a little more now could it?

That quiet, near apathetic utterance that she was giving the dun nothing but false hope hardly seemed to prompt a reaction. The mare was nothing if not seemingly determined to ignore him, let alone admit that, perhaps, his plan to prompt her to appear once more had worked- or seemingly so. Her gaze shifted toward him. Frost, for now, made no effort to reach for her even if that desire to do so tugged within him. The war horse, instead, was inclined to consider the possibility of her use of illusions once more. Up close she appeared nothing but real in every way. From her appearance to her scent to the way she moved. She appeared nothing short of exactly what she was. What Frost was certain she was. His violet gaze shifted ever so briefly to eye that tent once more. Alexander and Matteo both were surely all but drowned in their drink right now. Even if his rider were to hear him call the chance of Alexander successfully navigating his way outside, much less processing the sight of a unicorn was...slim at best. The hunter was equally likely to blame her presence upon his drink. It was almost as if she knew the most inopportune time to appear. Whatever further thoughts the equine might have considered were all but forgotten in the wake of a sudden lunge from the dun pony. The smaller stallion, frustrated with the mare's lack of interest upon himself, was nothing if not determined to sink his teeth into Frost's own shoulder by way of retaliation. Frost was quick to wheel away from that fence, his own hind leg struck outward, colliding with the lower pole of the fence itself and prompting the unfortunate structure to shake beneath the force of that blow. That warning strike, however, was enough to prompt the pony to wheel away in turn, prancing back to the center of his paddock in some testosterone fueled display further designed to allure the mare.

Frost's own gaze narrowed ever so slightly upon his opponent. The equine was content to find himself irritated with the other horse as his tail lashed at his flanks. The unicorn mare, in an effort to avoid that confrontation, had stepped further back from the fenceline now. Frost;s words, this time, held a distinct note of amusement somewhere in their otherwise cold, smooth depths. Had this been her intention all along? To prompt the return of the fighting spirit in that dun and provoke a second round between them? The unicorn, once more, hardly seemed inclined to afford him an answer. Frost, in turn, was very near inclined to scowl. Hmmm. It would seem she was nothing if not determined to be difficult in every way. Perhaps she was playing hard to get. Very hard to get. Then again, was he not playing along just as well? After all, he could hardly deny his....interest, even if he was determined not to display it in turn. She was perfect. If this was her equine form then surely her human figure was equally as glorious? What would she look like as a woman? Her hair would surely hold that same natural, loose curl. How readily those thoughts seemed to occupy his mind! First, in that moment, very near missed the fashion in which she stepped away from the fence, her graceful, smooth strides carrying her around the outskirts of the duns paddock and further away from Frost himself- only to begin to walk along that back fence line- forcing Frost to travel back across his paddock if he wished to converse with her once more. Well played.

Frost's tail moved to lash at his flanks once more. The equine, in his own stubbornness, momentarily considered whether or not he wished to give her the satisfaction of forcing him to chase her across that paddock. He could continue to ignore her, perhaps, return to his grazing in the hopes it might prompt her to stay and yet this was an entirely delicate game. Too little interest and she might leave as she had last time. Vanishing into thin air. Yet too much interest would give her a level of satisfaction Frost was hardly willing to indulge. There was little to be done, this time, save for yielding to her unspoken move. How irritating. Frost's hooves shifted upon the earth, the stallion breaking into his own trot. His heavy, feathered hooves lacked that same obvious grace and finesse of her own and yet his ground covering stride ate away at the earth with ease. That very action highlighted his own physique in turn as he reached that back fence, slowing as he did. Her Highness so finally content to indulge him with words. His query of whether or not she had come seeking him so apparently a suggestion she could not allow to go unanswered. Her voice was as entirely haughty as he remembered it and yet he could hardly ignore the almost sweet femininity that laced her lyrics. She had not, she insisted, returned to see him. Rather, she had sought to fix what was broken at the hands of the vampire.

"You healed him? That was the power you used?"

Frost's gaze shifted toward the dun once more as he continued to prance within his paddock, the pony having taken to displaying several rears and bucks as if this, somehow, might lure the unicorn back towards him. It was, however, a distinct display of a level of health the dun had lacked ever since finishing that race. Had she truly healed him? Or was her power akin to Matteo's in that ability to restore to an original form? Perhaps it was like his own and yet she hardly seemed to have taken on those wounds in place of the dun. The unicorn was moving once more. Her walk was slow and yet purposeful. Frost's gaze shifted back toward her in that moment, his ears momentarily pinning backward at the realization that she intended to continue walking- forcing him to keep pace with her in a blatant display of his own interest. A soft snort rose from within his own nostrils, the stallion reluctantly stepping forward to keep pace with her as they slowly wandered that fence line. Just what did she intend to do when they reached the end of that fence? How very....irritating that there always seemed to be a fence between them. He could jump it, perhaps and yet it was undeniably high. He was tired. The chance of landing upon it was significantly high. Alexander would hardly be impressed. For now he merely needed to keep his mares interest.

"Do you also possess an ability for foresight?"

This, he knew, was a distinctly curious question, one sure to provoke at least some intrigue from the mare. After all, she had a sharp mind, he had already deduced that. She did nothing without purpose and yet oh- how equally inclined he was to be the same. His own smooth, cool words continued then. His pace evenly matched her own.

"After all, you must have foreseen that the vampire would injure his steed. Otherwise it implies that you followed us....for several days for no reason. Since you had no desire to see me I cannot possibly imagine why else you would have held any interest in the race. Enough to cross the Mongolian plains. Since you only came to heal him and nothing else."

One eye rose somewhere beneath that wild forelock of white hair as he eyed his companion. Frost was nothing short of determined to call out her apparent insistence that the dun pony was the reason for her appearance.

"Alexander saw your hoofprints from that night you know..."
There was little need to explain just what night he spoke off. The night they had first met had been distinctly eventful in every sense. Frost's smooth, easy words continued.

"He asked what had happened, I told him. He tells me you are no more than an illusionist trying to appear as something you are not."

Frost's head nodded toward the impressive horn that twisted from the mare's forehead, the pair of equines walking very near side by side now. How certain he was their flanks might have brushed agianst one another were it not for the fence in between. His movement was sudden, Frost inclined to reach abruptly over that fence, his soft muzzle brushing agianst her neck and shoulder. The smooth, silken feel of her fur was...divine. How quick he was to withdraw that touch though, his gait shifting momentarily to a near playful prance, the stallion ready to dodge any nip that came his way in those precarious moments.

"You feel real enough though."

A momentarily smug look seemed to linger upon the stallions features a moment at that chaste and yet stolen touch. His pace settled to a walk once more, the end of that paddock fast approaching. How irritating. One day, surely, he might be able to find this mare without a paddock or rope to hamper his efforts. Then again, perhaps she chose to appear at just those moments for that very reason. To hamper his efforts all the more.

"It's Frost, by the way. My name. You didn't care to ask but since you followed me for several days across Mongolia it hardly seems fair not to give you something for your efforts...."
