South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'll love you for a thousand more....

It truly was ironic that a wolf, a creature known for its social life style, would be asking a solitary creature like a panther what pack life was like. The entire world seemed out of whack, but really, when wasn't it? Scarlett was glad that Nadya was beginning to relax around her, that her presumed thoughts on the girl's demeanor based on previous interactions with wolves were turning out to be wrong. The wolf could not know this however, though she did know something was making the cat particularly standoffish around canines or just strangers in particular. It was not her business, Scarlett was not what Nadya was predisposed to think of her, she would prove her wrong, for wolves were exceptionally social creatures, and Scarlett was even more so.

There was silence between them as Scarlett's question seemed to hang in the air. "It's the best and worst thing that could ever happen to you." Nadya begins. The large canine sits up now, ears pricked forward with interest and an intent to listen to everything because joining a pack was a big choice to make and she needed to know everything. "I was born to the Alpha's of a pack. I've never known anything else than pack life. Pack is a family that is thicker than blood though. You eat, sleep, and run together...protect each other." This much seemed obvious to Scarlett, but she continued to listen as the black cat stood and began to stalk around her, golden eyes fixated on the canine. "Pack life means choosing it over everything else you ever want in life. It means shedding blood or killing to keep it safe." Nadya's voice is darker now, her circles bringing her closer and closer to Scarlett until she stands two feet in front of her. It was amazing that the cat got this close, even if she wasn't relaxed enough to sit down and her tail lashed back and forth. This was accomplishment enough for the wolf, a small victory.

"It means recognizing and following those above you. There are rules being in a pack but the rules are there for a reason. The rules are there to protect everyone, to bring peace and security for the next generation." Scarlett nods her head slightly, understanding this fact. Life was full of rules, if there were no rules there would be chaos and death. However, her fierce independence may bring her head to head with these superiors. Dominance rolled off of her like water, what decided that these were's were in charge? Her ideals would have to be worked with, molded into something that could live in a pack for her to fully belong. When you have to raise yourself, protect yourself, what right do others have to tell you what to do?

There is a moment of silence between them once more as Scarlett begins to mull over everything that Nadya has said, weighing the pros and the cons of pack life. But when gold eyes fixate on the forest in thought, she knows there is another. Pack life is laying beneath the stars and the full moon feeling the warmth of bodies surrounding you and never wanting the sun to rise." It was this last part that had made Scarlett consider a pack, a family. Nadya's words were all she had ever wanted in life. Emerald eyes follow the golden gaze out into the forest, hoping to find her own form of words out there. "It sounds.....interesting...." She practically whispers, her demeanor becoming more serious if not sad. Scarlett looks to the ground, her toes gently flexing and feeling the grass between them. "I fear that my independence will keep me from what you last described, the only thing I have ever wanted in my life." sadness. It had crept into her voice so suddenly it was sure to take the feline off guard.

There is silence as Scarlett tries to find the words to explain, to let Nadya in to everything that made the wolf who she was. "When I was six, my parents were killed in a car crash by a drunk driver. Everything I had ever known had been taken from me. I was so....angry. This guy killed my family without any feeling what so ever," She says, her voice seeming so distant as she relives everything through her words. Very few got this glimpse into her past, Nadya was extremely lucky. "I was raised by my grandparents, but I was....very distant. I regret that so much now but at the time it was hard to cope with my feelings. They tried their best to raise me, and I loved them so much for that, but they were old and so I ended up doing most of the work around the farm while raising myself." It was hard to imagine such a small girl given to raise herself and take care of so many others in the process, but somehow Scarlett had done so. Maybe Scarlett's real power wasn't storm manipulation, it was selflessness. Not once did she ever complain when it came to taking care of the farm or her grandparents, it was just how she had always been and always would be.

"And then I was bitten by a werewolf, at just 10 years old. Everything I knew about the world changed, I was forced to forget everything and start over, raising myself all over again. There were no packs to help, only a few old witches and warlocks, a few faeries, and maybe 2 other weres." Being thrust into a world where nothing made sense ever with absolutely no one to guide you but yourself was terrifying as a young child. Nadya was lucky, born into this life, raised for it. The panther would never know what it was like to try and make your own path in life but every path you take makes you more and more lost into a scary world of darkness. "My grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimers, and so, my grandmother's full attention went to her. When my grandmother passed away two years ago, I was completely and utterly alone in the world."

It was hard to imagine that such a beautiful, kind creature such as Scarlett could ever have endured such hardship in her life and come out like she had. Life had beaten her again and again, tried to make her into an empty shell, but it had failed and would always fail. The wolf was too determined to ever be put down, possibly a fault when it came to being in a pack ruled by hierarchy, but not when it came to living. "I got my inheritance and left, there was nothing left for me there after my grandfather had been put into a home. I wandered the country for a bit until I decided to come out here for college, to try and make something of my life while also learning more about myself in a place so very full of weres like me." She looked up now, right up at Nadya, emerald eyes staring at her with this softness in them, softened by years of hardship. It was not weakness, Scarlett was anything but weak.

"I'm afraid any pack i'd join would have to teach me how to be apart of a family before they taught me how to be apart of a pack," she says with a sad smile, tail given to thump a few times upon the ground in an almost heart breaking state. Scarlett was not telling the panther to get pity, rather for Nadya to understand the wolf that lay before her. Her words were completely honest, so much so that no matter how much the cat distrusted canines, she could never distrust her words.

"Speaks like this"
