South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Once upon a time, as all good stories start, not very long ago - the world had been a vastly different place. Once, there had been a clear cut line between the dominion of men and women. It was a line that although was firmly accepted, was occasionally toed only to be further reinforced on why it's existence continued in the first place. Everyone had their marked roles, everyone knew where they stood and everyone knew exactly what was expected of them. That is - only until nearly two centuries ago. It was only then that everything the Macedonian man had found his world shattered, their traditions, their lines, their barriers had become murky. It had all happened in nearly a blink of those sea-green eyes and occasionally it was enough that sometimes, it managed to catch even the steadfast King off guard by the drastic shift in time. Once upon a time, sending a woman to check on a King's ability to fight would have waged wars. He had forgotten that now was no longer such times. That anger, that passion that had always been his guiding force had quelled, replaced with the quiescent placidity that he had begun to wore like a second skin. His disturbance had been momentary at best, especially with the Egyptian female was hardly his decided foe.

The grace of her simper was acknowledged only by a brief bob of his head, the simple gesture failing to provoke any likewise reaction within his facial features. He had seen far too many come and go to find himself capable of such open amicability, despite the gossamer threads of rapport that just faintly might exist between the pair of hunters. Never the less, Alexander was hardly a coarse fellow - the failure of his hunt hardly tarnished his mood enough to not offer the woman the entirety of his attention now that his charges had left the immediate vicinity. In truth, the was a touch of bewilderment that the exotic female had so managed to pinpoint his perhaps otherworldly aura. It wasn't so much as that he was of supernatural origins as it was that he hailed from a world entirely unlike that they both found themselves standing within and perhaps it was that she too was of the same dawning. Such old souls were able to identify each other amongst the youth that made up their ranks. It made him inquisitive for the first time in a very long one. How old was she truly? How long had she too been cursed with the willpower to simply refuse to lay down and die?

"Have any of us?" He inquired softly in a somewhat distracted fashion. After all, hunters were made not born. They were stolen from the lives that they had so meticulously crafted only to be trust in a crusade that went beyond them - beyond time till it too engulfed everything they had once become. His head shook ever so slightly, his answer far more genuine then it had perhaps been before. "No, I was the forefront of my own crusade." It was the memories of such that brought the smallest twitch of a simper to his lips. His gaze shifted towards the young woman, his hold upon his sword entirely relinquished as the man stepped forward towards the woman, his head leaning down ever so slightly to brush his lips against her cheek in a welcoming gesture that was entirely remnant of the cultures he not only was born it but too conquered. "Alexander the Third of Macedonia...and you are?" The Dark Hunter inquired, his voice decidedly soft in the silence of the evening that surrounded them. It had been a very long time since his true name had left his lips, long enough that even the sound of it almost felt foreign.
