South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

The reaction she gives me at first is more expected, my growls only growing in volume as her lips pull back to show her teeth. But then she does something odd, turning her head away and my ears flicker in confusion. What the hell? It's like she doesn't want to fight or something. What kind of wolf doesn't want to fight a coyote? I snarl and step back though as the air around the wolf starts to change. It moves up and around her body as if protecting her and I snap at the darkness that moves past my paws, as if I can catch it and kill it like a snake. Of course it slides right through my teeth to join the rest of the shadows and I glare at the darkness and the wolf it engulfs, my eyes untrusting.

At first the wolf only seems interested in ignoring me now, turning her head back to the moon and the sky and this annoys me almost as much as her not wanting to fight. But as I put all I've got into forcing my voice into her head as she did to me, I get a reaction. She turns back to look at me, tilting her head as if thoughtful. There it is again, that voice and it's strangely gentle for a wolf like her. She looks so scarred up and rought, so masculine almost and yet there's a majestic nature about her, almost exotic and deadly but oddly feminine, even without her voice in my head.

Her words only cause more confusion, my ears flicking back again as my tail twitches, irritation always my first emotion when I don't understand something since there's never been something I don't understand in the world I'm used to. I'm the smart one in my world, the one with logic where others are dumb and yet here things are different and it pisses me off. I try to focus again. "Weres?" It's a little easier this time, especially when you only need one word. When the wolf turns fully to me, I tense up again, still not trusting. When she walks toward me, my hackles start to tremble and the soft growls start again in my throat. It's a habit, what can I say?

She stops finally and lays on the ground as if trying to show she means no harm and I'm only more caught off guard by her actions. Her question makes me more irritated, but this time, not at her. I clench my jaw and grind my fangs as I try to put everything into words. "Everything is wrong. I don't understand this place, these creatures. This is not my world."
