South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. Honestly its almost an insult to see Kat apparently more turned on by a gun then she is by me, her hands moving up and down and over it with a delicate care that's almost astounding really, some hint of amusement seeing my lop quirk upward. Maybe we could include more guns in the bedroom if she likes them that much. I think I might take any ammunition out though. I trust her, I don't entirely trust me and I really dislike the thought of a shooting incident of that nature. She at least seems mildly impressed that I'd managed to steal her fingerprints- honestly I think I would have made a very good spy, provided I only ever worked with women I suppose. I never did get on well with other men. I either irritate them or make their girlfriends like me far to much, I argue that's not my fault though really. I may well have missed the flash of unease in Kat's gaze, but her attempt to make, what for her, is a fairly poorly constructed joke at my expense actually sees the blue gold of my gaze fall back on her. Was she....upset? I'd been worried about that I suppose, that somehow my not telling her might upset her- the fact I worried about it probably some indication it was bound to happen. I'm still getting used to the girlfriend thing though, give me a brake. That Azrael, to an extent, seemed to be the issue though was not entirely what I'd anticipated, feeling myself frowning at her once more as she attempted to brush it off.

"Kat."

My fingers extended, resting on her forearm a moment in an effort to bring her attention back to me. Hmm, whoever knew I'd be the sort of man who had conversations with a girlfriend over her being upset about something I'd done? It's a new experience for all of us. It feels so....normal. Honestly I'm almost impressed. I waited until I had her attention now, at least attempting to, well, explain why I did what I did.

"I asked Azrael to help me with the weapons because they were far from perfect, especially in the early stages and to be honest I, well, look don't tell him alright but I was fairly convinced a few of them might have literally backfired or blown up and I was a lot more comfortable injuring him or blowing him up then I was you. Surprising as it might be I seem to be in possession of a desire not to shoot you."

It is, entirely, the honest truth- my features managing to reflect what I am entirely sure is a sheepish grin of sorts, shoulder rolling lightly. Well, what can I say? I needed someone capable enough to test them which ironically ruled me out and given the rather large margin for error most of the early prototypes had registered with I was hardly going to risk accidentally injuring Kat. Azrael was the far better choice. Provided Kat never told him. Honestly he scared me a bit- I never have seen anyone hate the world so much as he does, nor do I truly appreciate him continuing to yell at me. If he worked for me I would have fired him. The other weapons I have to show her at least seem to distract her more fully. She rarely seems all that impressed with what I actually do (although why not I hardly know, sleeping till noon is an actual skill I assure you) so it's a pleasing thing, really, to actually see her take an interest. Her pouting however distracts me entirely from whatever point I had been making. I like that look, I like having something she wants- my entire interest in what we were doing actually starting to wan, focused far more on her lips when she managed to laugh.

Alright so I'd forgotten the Gardner for a minute, her mention of murder seeing the blue gold of my gaze roll slightly. Why on earth she has any belief I'd make a weapon that could kill I don't know. My one claim to fame was taking out an assassin with an ipad- I'd hardly branched from that into assault rifles. Then again, I suppose if you hit someone with the gun I'd made you could still kill. Really you could kill someone with almost anything. The belt however, was for later, Kat's words seeing one eye lift in a tease- not truly expecting her to turn towards me as she did, gun pointed at my chest.

"Oh ha ha, lets not get too excited. I- Kat.....Kat."

I was going to be decidedly unimpressed if she shot me....after I woke up that was. For a moment I very near had the desire to put my hands in the air like a criminal robbing a bank. She spun suddenly away from me, firing the gun out and across the garden, managing to hit the unfortunate Gardner rather well. Would Elena be upset about that? The man should get some sleep anyway, surely working hours were over? A single grunt saw the man fall, Kat's smirk matching my own as one eyebrow lifted in evident victory.

"See? It shoots."

I moved to step abruptly closer to her, catching her chin softly with my finger, tilting her head up to press my lips to her own. I never would get tired of that taste, or the scent of her or the feel of her. Maybe I never will be much of a Hunter, but I can still....share in her, well, passion for....er....gun sports I suppose.

"We should go back inside. The main meal will probably be ready. I made sure we had nothing planned for tomorrow though, or the day after. Etienne and Elena will be out tomorrow as well, we'll have the whole house to ourselves. Whatever will we do?"

I chuckled softly, lightly, entirely sure I could think of at least....nine things we could done, seven of which did not involve having to get out of bed. I wonder if I could convince Kat to sleep in. Surely she sleeps in on holidays?

"I'll make you a deal. Tomorrow we do whatever you want to do or go wherever you want to go for the whole day, the day after its my turn to choose, how does that sound?"
