South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

they argued my right to ascension

How many years had it been? Sixty? Seventy? Since he had last seen another being with a speed capable of rivalling his own. The vampire moves like a blur, the precisely aimed stake slamming solidly into the wood of the bench, cracking the timber beneath with the force of it- leaving it impaled there and nestled within the splinters. Any displeasure at his failure however is short lived, the vampire already moving, offering Azrael barely a moment to contemplate that this creature possessed the same power as himself before he felt it grasp him from behind. Shit. He barely comprehends the cold words the vampire offers, adrenaline firing rapidly through his system as some part of himself already anticipates exactly what the leech aimed to do. It will not be the first time he has been bitten by a vampire and surely not the last and yet none of his previous experiences with this particular breed of supernatural had endeared him to the process. The firm grip of the vampire upon his shoulders afforded him decidedly little wiggle room in any fashion, yet to merely stand would allow the other man near perfect access to his carotid artery. Azrael decidedly loath to lose it- struggling violently against his grip in an effort to make it as difficult as possible. Instinct alone sees him try to angle his head and neck away from those pointed fangs though he was vaguely aware that this seemed to facilitate the vampire's roaming hands reaching for and grasping the amulet, clever that- one elbow suddenly thrust purposefully backward and aimed toward the vampires gut in an effort to force him to release it. Azrael far stronger than any human. The sudden burning pain of both fangs piercing into his neck however momentarily sees his golden eyes widen with the shock of it.

"Fuck! That fucking hurts you damn bastard!"

He can feel heated blood on his neck already (although as Darioes had perhaps anticipated it would hardly be a pleasurable taste, cheap beer was hardly his style and cigarettes he had, mostly, given up though most nights were spent eating though copious packets of two minute noodles). God it stung. Whether Dareios had been swift enough to pilfer the amulet in that single moment the Hunter hardly new- the pain from the bite resulting in an entirely different reaction from himself. The dull glow that had lingered lightly upon the man's skin flares suddenly into life, exploding to surround his form in a brilliant and burning burst of pure light- akin to the very sun itself, searing and burning through any part of the vampire still attempting to hold onto the Hunter, entirely capable of incinerating him should the man be foolish enough to still hang on.

His own rush of speed sees the Hunter jerk himself free, a brilliant glowing blur as he pivots to face the vampire once more, his entire form still encased within that gleaming light- this singular power the very reason the Council had become content to send Azrael after most of the cities vampires. One hand reaches reflexively, pressing firmly upon the right side of his neck in an effort to stem the blood flow- the bite dangerously close to the artery. That a vampire had even touched him was disgusting, let alone with its fangs. God he'd need a years' worth of showers once this was over. Whether or not the other man had managed to snag the amulet Azrael hardly cared, his focus now entirely fixated on destroying the abomination before him. The stake still in his left hand is hurled like a spear with sudden and utterly inhuman speed right at the vampires left thigh. It is hardly a killing blow, more so, he is simply seeking to take away the vampires own speed entirely by putting a stake through his leg. If he could debilitate the bastard and prevent him from escaping he would- before finding a tree to tie him too and letting dawn's first light incinerate him.....
