South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The young fox awarded the man a smirk at his questioning regarding the broken nose she'd once given Beck. "No, he wasn't armed," She offered, the memory giving her nothing but a warm feeling in her chest. "But he did bet our Alpha's son twenty pounds that I wasn't brave enough to punch him. He was being an ass, so I punched him. Hard, too." After all, he'd seemed to learn his lesson after that, he'd never dared to suggest she wasn't powerful after that. Though, it was easy to claim to be powerful among her pack when they were equal in size and species. Here, where everyone was different, her Were form was rather useless and she knew it. It was something she was still thinking about when he moved her to the first position. Throwing herself against Kato did nothing. He didn't move, didn't budge, didn't even react besides the rumbling laugh he awarded her. Even bothered by the teasing, Edie could hardly deny the briefest amount of joy she experienced in the amusement she'd afforded him. And she remained pleased until the explanation of the next strike he wanted her to throw at him, the one that spoke of actual injuries that she could inflict on him that had completely broken her.

Edie was only mildly aware of the way he reached for her, though it didn't stop her as she pulled abruptly away from him and lowered herself into the soft grass. She'd never had anything like this happen before, never felt the complete inability to breathe like she did at the moment. She found herself clutching at handfuls of grass in an attempt to steady herself as she gasped for air. It felt as though something was crushing her, stealing her ability to breathe or even think properly. All she could think was the never ending loop that Kato could get hurt. And Kato... oh, no. Kato couldn't get hurt... couldn't leave... couldn't... couldn't. That she had grown so attached to the man was only making the problem worse. No, she'd left England to avoid emotions such as this, and she'd found herself caring for people that she surely shouldn't. Kato had admitted immediately that he wasn't staying in Sacrosanct. Edie... oh, how did she get herself into this mess again?

The command to slow her breathing down was only met with a gasping noise rather akin to a sob. The tears that had merely welled in her eyes spilled then, falling down her cheeks in a stream. The young fox offered him no resistance as he tilted her gaze up to look at him. Though she would have liked for his presence to soothe her, if anything it did the opposite. Immediately, the tears picked up in severity and the girl leaned forward, pressing her body against his as she clung to him. She was aware of the question he asked her, though she had no idea how to answer it. How could she explain that she was scared of hurting him â€" both physically or otherwise. Or worse, how she was scared that he had the ability to wreck her if she left. How could she explain that she was falling for him in a way that was both exhilarating and terrifying. How she'd felt this way once before, and the mutual feeling had almost gotten him killed?

"I'm scared," Edie gasped out after several tearful minutes of clinging to him. It was barely an explanation. But she was scared of so much at the moment, the world felt like it was caving in. The stream of words that followed came out in a jumbled mess of sentences, each one blending into the next before the girl could think about what she was going to say. "I don't want to hit you or hurt you or... what if I hit you too hard and your heart... and I can't... and I don't want to make you... what if something happens... I can't..." She shook her head rather frantically, looking up at the man with a helpless expression. "I can't... lose... you."
