West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Samantha Cassidy

Samantha Cassidy was falling apart.

Every bit of her body seemed to be cracking at places. Her mind saw shadows in the corner of her vision. She envisioned the girls that would inevitably entrap her in every dark shadow, every thought, every dream. Her sleep, as a result, remained entirely interrupted by her dreams. She couldn't even remember the last time that she had slept more than an hour or so. Even in Aiden's arms - which were admittedly the best place for her to sleep right now - she couldn't let her body truly relax. She was barely eating - which, thankfully, her immortal body seemed to be fine with. But the lack of nutrition and sleep had her looking entirely pale and broken. Not to mention the bags under her eyes that even makeup was entirely unable to hide.

The burning of her palms was the last straw for the young woman. She'd seemed to crumple then and succumb to the tears that she'd been holding on. And once she started crying, she couldn't stop. The sobs grew in intensity and made her shoulders shake. She was oblivious to the world until she heard her name finally drew her gaze back from her lap and up to the form of her friend. "N..." She started, though she remained unable to speak further than that. Of course. Of course Nadya would be the one to find her here. She'd expected the deck to be entirely empty, and yet Nadya had found her. "Nadya, I'm sorry... I..." She started, her mind immediately switching to the fact that she hadn't been to the burlesque in almost two weeks. She was falling apart, and letting a friend down in the process. At Nadya's questioning, Samantha shook her head. "No, we didn't... we're fine... I..."

It was the sound of tiny voices that made the girl flinch. The twins... Oh god, she didn't want them to see her like this. She was always the happy, bubbly aunt that spoiled them so, and for them to see her falling apart like this brought on another wave of shame and embarrassment for the faerie girl. Normally, she would have held her arms out to the two toddlers or scooped them up to play, but for now she could only stare at them blankly. "It's okay. I..." She moved slightly as though she wanted to stand, though her legs simply would not hold her weight. "I'm fine, Nadya... I..."

She looked up at the girl, completely unsure of what it was that she could even tell her. She didn't have words to explain all the fears that overcame her lately, and frankly she wasn't sure that she wanted to. Frost's warning to keep quiet at the Ark coming so readily back to her. She trusted Nadya entirely, just as she equally trusted Aiden. And yet that fear pressed those thoughts down. It would certainly take more prompting from the panther to get Samantha to open up about why she was crying. She just couldn't talk about everything that was going on, and yet her brain couldn't come up with a lie to keep the girl's questions at bay.

She reached out then to pick up Micah, bringing the little boy into her lap. She buried her head in his soft hair, holding him close as she focused on the emotions of the little boy. The twins were nothing but delighted to see their aunt (a title that Sam was still delighted by and getting used to) and that alone was enough to soothe the crying woman to be able to breathe once again. Finally, she looked up at Nadya, unsure of what to say.
