West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

There were, perhaps, so many ways that this entire ordeal could go wrong. It had been those thoughts alone that had her practicing with him in front of the cameras. After all, if they were going to pull this off, it was important that she knew exactly where their weaknesses were. If his illusions didn't work on camera, perhaps they would have to simply make the other players appear foolish. Her mind was already working on that very aspect of it. How could she use her own powers - the powers that he wasn't even aware of, she realized - to make sure that their plan worked flawlessly. Pleasing Frost, it would seem, remained her top priority. After all, a part of her still wanted to impress him. To prove her place as his Beta and leave no room for doubt that she may not be the best choice. What her Were form might lack in size and power, she would make up for with her wit. As she approached the first of her tables, the Beta girl couldn't help but attempt to reach out to make sure he could hear her properly. After all, so much of this night depended on that silent ability of theirs to communicate. She couldn't help the smile that crossed her features as his own voice pressed upon her mind. Yes, this night was going to go perfectly. Of that, Edie was sure.

If Edie was nervous, she certainly didn't show it as she made it her way to sit down at that table. The young woman was the picture of confidence as she lifted those cards to be within her hand. The Beta girl was blissfully unaware of the other men's stares on her form. No, she was entirely committed to the part of being Frost's girlfriend, and several times her eyes travelled over to the man with a girlish smile. Still, despite her best attempts for acting, she remained entirely focused on the cards at hand. Due to Frost's teaching, she knew enough to know she had a wonderful hand even before she heard Frost's words press against her mind, and she offered him the barest hint of a nod by means of understanding. The more games that he could win without Frost's illusions, the better, and she was entirely committed to making that happen for them. Following Frost's command, the woman continued to rise her bet, offering the other men confident smiles as she did so until one by one, they folded and left her the winner.

It was entirely surprising to see Frost step forward then, the kiss he planted on her cheek seeing her eyes widen in shock for but a split second before she turned, kissing his own cheek in turn. "See babe," She said as she collected her winnings and stood, casting one glance back at the men whose eyes were upon her. "I told you I was good at this." She grinned, squeezing his arm before she allowed herself to be so directed towards another table. It was only then in that brief moment of privacy between tables that she looked up at Frost, a smirk played out on her features. "I told you, this is going to be fine." The Beta girl was certainly intelligent enough to make this plan work, and she barely glanced at Frost as she took her seat at the next table. The girl continued to worth smoothly under Frost's direction to win again and again, and in fact, when they were at that fifth table Edie was well aware of the woman whose gaze remained on Frost even before Frost spoke to her.

Okay. Edie pressed her thoughts to Frost's mind, her attention going to that woman. It was unfortunate that the more the woman looked at Frost, the less attention the other men were paying to Edie herself. This couldn't happen. Pretend to take a phone call. Do something else. Just walk away from the table. I've got this one. Edie barely waited for Frost to move before she rose her bet, flashing a smile at the woman across from her. She watched as the woman's gaze flicked so immediately towards Frost, a flash of confusion on her features at the fact that Frost so quickly walked from his girlfriend. Human women were pathetic. Constantly worried about everything. It was certainly putting a damper on Edie's plans. She waited carefully until most of the table had folded, leaving just her and the other woman before she allowed her power to seep into her voice, that subtle act of persuasion one that would not show on cameras, and her soft suggestion to fold was laced with such sweetness that no one batted an eye.

It was only once she'd collected her winnings did she go over to Frost, a grin flashing on her features as she kissed his cheek. "Let's go," She said excitedly as she took his hand, tugging him over to another table. I think we should try tables with all men, if we can. Women find you attractive. Luckily for us, most of the players are human. My affinity works best on them. She offered no further explanation for her power before she sat herself down, placing her initial bets as she took her cards. It wasn't a great hand - not losing, exactly, but not one that would win without careful planning on their part - and the girl had to resist the urge to look at Frost for reassurance. No, they would do this. Of that she remained positive.

Okay. The man to the left of me keeps looking at the ceiling. I'm going to guess that his hand isn't very good. The man across from me looks smug. He's who I have to beat? The young girl relied entirely on that perception that she was so talented with before she continued to play. It was only after a few rounds of betting and Frost's reassurances did she... well, she wanted to show off her power to her Alpha just a little. She flashed a smile up at the men - God, look at the way they looked at her, it was almost disgusting - before she spoke, sliding her poker chips forward. All of her poker chips. "Alright boys," She purred, her voice laced with her power. "I say we make this interesting and go all in." She didn't look up at Frost - lest he be angry for what she was risking. No, she simply watched as every single one of the men complied to her suggestion and placed their full bets. If she could win here - which she would win - she would be walking away with quite the prize.

Alright Frost, my hand is good, but it's your turn to make sure I don't lose.
