West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

The gangly deviant was largely oblivious to that simple pride his companion had taken in those small successes they had achieved. Tobias hardly aware of his best friends simple determination to not only prove wrong those people who might doubt the leopard but too- to help the boy gain at least some level of independence. Tetradore perhaps the only being in all the world, outside of Raven, whom had ever shown the shaggy haired fellow any true....affection. That simple ruffle of his hair delighting the boy entirely. Even those smallest glimpses of praise form the emerald eye man seeming to thrill him entirely as that grin widened. Tobias distinctly determined to please Tetradore, the other man, for all his faults, the single being Tobias idolised most in the world- Tetra capable of utterly no wrong within his own dark gaze. Tobias relying on him perhaps more than any other. That small success and moment of praise seeming to further the shaggy-haired boys confidence enough to continue to that slow, steady drive.

His hands gripped that wheel more tightly, the boy steadily progressing along that road and towards that second corner, those words near abruptly leaving his lips then as if the boy had only just seemed to remember them. That garbled, strutted speech promptly announcing that Tetradore's friend had been to visit him while the man was out. His own features frowning with the effort of recalling that memory, the boy seemingly only capable of summoning parts of that recollection and yet Tetradore had forever shown an ability of sorts to understand that gangly deviant. The other man having mastered the art of conversation with that fractured creature. His dark gaze glanced briefly away from that road and towards Tetra then, that confusion upon the other man's features seeing his own frown in turn in some mimic of that façade before attempting to inform Tetradore of that present Matteo had brought for him. A present Tobias near sheepishly admitted to eating. The boy hurriedly assuring his companion he had left some for him. Tobias having learned rather early that concept of sharing when it came to Tetradore even if eating what was not his to eat to begin with had not yet solidified within his mind as a rule to be followed. That demand to know what he had eaten seeing a near blank look find his features as they rounded that final corner successfully. Tobias seeming to consider just what he had eaten for several moments.

"Candy."

That singular world found his lips easily, his head nodded as if in further assurance as he glanced toward his companion then, the boy making some attempt to further elaborate.

"Maybe the....best candy. Matt-Tay-O....say......is favourite of Tetra....he said he...knew Tobi would eat it so....he will bring more....he.....coming to see.....Tetra."

He nodded once more, the boy seeming content with himself as Tetra muttered quietly about the unexpected appearance of the Frenchman as Tobias pulled the car to a stop, the boys request to go backwards readily met. Tobias almost effortlessly shifting that car into reverse. His skills in going backwards far outweighing his ability to go forward as he piloted that car skilfully back down that tarmac with near no hesitation. Yet just how or why the man remained so decidedly talented at reversing remained to be seen. The boy bringing the car back to a stop a few minutes later with clear pride, Tobias grinning readily towards Tetradore then before inquiring whether or not he might be allowed to drive that car backwards home. After all, he was far better at it then forward. That assurance that it was against the rules seeing him scowl, that irritable snort leaving him then. Tobias so apparently content to make up for his denied drive home with those further demands for what they should do once they returned to the ark. Tobias seemingly desiring to spend the rest of that evening with Tetradore along, those tubs of ice cream and their favoured video games. That grin on his lips widening at that promise they could surely make it happen. His separation from his very best friend for those months Tetradore had been 'away' by far the most trying of the young man's life. Tobias determined to make up for lost time and spend the evening with all the other mans attention.

His gaze shifted briefly from Tetradore then, those dark eyes fixating on that luggage ramp situated further down the runway, his hand lifting to point towards it then with that request to jump off of it. The deviant entirely sure it was possible. His near limited ability to understand physics, let alone the law of gravity, perhaps displaying itself in that moment as he glanced back at Tetra then. That soft utterance that they might crush it seeing his head tilt slightly as if attempting to understand how a car might crush a ramp. The boy silent for several moments before his shoulders lifted into a shrug.

"Crushing is....fun too."

His foot shifted readily to that accelerator then the boy hardly giving Tetradore a chance to argue as that car shot backwards, Tobias spinning that wheel a moment later to swing the car around and put that ramp behind them, the leopard driving backwards at it now with clear intention, that hissing snicker rising from his lips. Tobias, by some miracle having lined that car up well enough to mount that ramp and launch the reversing car from it- at least mostly. The weight of that car seeing the ramp break as the car itself became airborne. The sound of that ramp splitting echoing across the airfield, the car not getting quite as much air as it could have before all but colliding with the ground, jolting both boys thoroughly as it did. Tobias forced to attempt to correct that steering a moment later as the car landed and spun. That yelp of surprise drawn from him as the car hurtled in two uncontrolled circles before his foot slammed on that break and jolted them to a stop. That shock upon his features hardly seeming to last before that grin returned, his heart beating rapidly from that adrenaline rush, his breath equally uneven and yet the boy was nothing short of delighted as he grinned. Both arms suddenly lifting upward.

"Woooo!"

Someone, it seemed, was clearly delighted by that adventure. The boy glancing toward Tetradore then if only to make sure the other man was entirely alright. His own grin hardly faltering as he shut that engine off at last. Those keys handed to Tetra then with that clear intention to let the other man drive them. The boy remaining in that driver seat for now all the same.

"Tetra?"

He waited only so long as it took the other man's attention to return to him. Tobias hardly dissuade by any grumpiness Tetradore might have with him over launching them off a luggage ramp. Tobias' own dark eyes resting on then man then as he shifted slightly within his seat. The boy seeming to struggle for words once more before those stuttered lyrics finally broke free- his gaze resting expectantly on Tetradore then as his hand lifted to rest on the other man's arm in a gesture almost affectionate for the boy.

"When...I got to....get......married to Birdie. Will you be....my....man that is best?"

After all- who else in the world would he ask to be his best man other than his very best friend?
