West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

She moved smoothly alongside the panther. Nadya was taller than her in this form and she had long lean legs. Malia was all legs herself but still not as tall. She turned her head to listen as Nadya told her about feeling blind in her human form cause her senses were dull. Malia nodded in agreement. Then she mentioned a feral period and Malia tilted her head, brows furrowed. "Feral period? What's that?" Either way, it seemed like Nadya had a little in common with Malia when it came to adjusting. She could tell that Nadya liked to spend most of her time in her panther form than in her human. That was definitely something Malia understood. When she asked about Nadya's former alpha, she didn't expect her to be talking about Tetradore. Sure, she had the feeling that Nadya was probably in Tetradore's pack, but she would have thought they would have been more like co-alpha's or something. Maybe it didn't work like that, but they were siblings, right? Of course, it was easy to see that Nadya still cared about her brother but it looked like they disagreed a lot. She knew that she didn't always get along with the ones she called her litter mates. Maybe it was because they spent too much time together but sometimes they would just get under her skin and annoy the crap out of her so she would get cranky and start snapping. That must have been what it was like for Nadya and Tetradore.

She blinked in surprise when Nadya said that her brother didn't want her around Frost. Was it because they were in two different packs or was it something else? She remembered how Tetradore asked to rub his scent on her before when he found out she was in Frost's pack, like he wanted to make him jealous or something. Frost was more tight lipped on the matter. She was sure he could smell the other alpha on her sometimes but he never said a word or told her not to talk to him; not like she would listen. She scowled. But she finished listening as Nadya pointed out it wasn't really him, it was from someone else who wanted to be Beta in the pack. She tilted her head. "Then why didn't they just challenge you for it? Is that not how you gain rank in Were packs?" But she had more to say. "He shouldn't have told you who you can and can't talk to, no matter what the reason. Frost never asks me to stop talking to anyone from other packs. I know rules are different when you're in an animal pack since you don't come in contact with other packs unless you're chasing them out of your territory but it can't really be the same as all that in Were packs, right? I mean, we're part human. We can talk and stuff. Shouldn't that also make us more civil?" She felt like such a hypocrite even saying that because she would usually be the voice asking for violence, but she didn't want to picture Frost and Tetradore fighting or Nadya and Henry fighting. They were all her friends.

When she told Nadya that she was bored and in need of purpose, Nadya seemed surprised for a minute before it seemed to make sense to her. Nadya assured her that Frost could assign her something to do but in the meantime, she could help with hunting. She got excited at first before she tilted her head curiously at the panther. "I'm not sure how our hunting styles will mesh. You're usually a solitary hunter by nature, right? Aren't I just going to be in the way?" She may not have been around a lot of panthers out in the wild but she knew enough about cat species in general to know they usually always hunt alone, not in packs as her kind did. She could tell Nadya was trying to make things better for her and keep her company in the meantime and it really meant a lot to Malia. She didn't realize just how much she wanted someone to talk to until now. When she moved the topic to relationships though, she could swear Nadya almost faltered in her steps like she might trip or something. Malia wouldn't have hesitated to grab for the bag of meat if it came to that but luckily Nadya seemed to catch herself. She stammered over her words at first but ended up explaining that it wasn't normal for a man to chase a woman and that they only wanted to mate with her if that's what they did. She scowled thoughtfully. Guess that made sense. Caesar was almost always chasing her around, especially when she was in heat.

She rolled her eyes at the memory. She nodded, sure that Nadya wanted to know that she understood what she was saying. "Oh okay. Got it. Guys that chase me are bad. So I should chase the guy if I think he's cute? It's just hard to figure out their personality from a distance. Like I know some cute guys but I already mated with one and the other...well, he might be off limits." She didn't know how to admit to Nadya that she sort of had a crush on Tetradore. After all, it might be weird since that's her brother. Nadya told her that Frost and her can't have kids and that almost made Malia sad. Never? What if they wanted kids? Though Nadya may never want more kids since she already had some but just in case. That's kind of sad. Did that mean that she couldn't have kids with Henry even if she'd wanted to? She didn't, of course. She wasn't ready for kids. But what if their species was too different? After all, he was a panther and she was a coyote. It was weird to think about. Then she mentioned someone named Tobias. Must be the father of her kids. She scowled. "I don't think I've met a Tobias. Is he in Tetradore's pack?" She figured that made sense. Nadya used to be and that would be a way for them to meet. "Did you like Tobias? Is that why you had kids with him?" She wanted to ask more but felt like there might be a line she was close to crossing. Like if Frost liked the idea that she had kids with another guy. She knew in the wild, some males would kill the children of another male if they felt threatened.

Maybe it was different with Weres though. Nadya admitted that they didn't mate all the time. She smirked. "I don't see why not. It's soo much fun. I could do it all the time and never be satisfied." She thought of her time with Henry, her eyes gleaming. It was definitely fun, even though she knew it would probably never happen again. At least she had her first time. Then Nadya let her know that relationships were different with Weres, that you didn't have to get pregnant. She had figured that out from Henry but it was good to have confirmation from someone else. Then she said there were precautions she could take and she pricked her ears attentively. "Like besides just not getting the wet stuff inside you?" That was the only way she knew, of course. At Nadya's sudden question of her liking someone, she pulled back a little, her ears flicking back as her tail gave a quick flick behind her. "Uh....I don't know really. I mean, sure, he's fun to flirt with, especially when I'm drinking. But I don't know if it'll pan out to anything." She said dismissively with a shrug.
