West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

we built this city on broken glass

How unfortunate it was that in that singular moment the white haired man hardly chose to pry into the thoughts of the young woman before him and capture a glimpse of those thoughts that turned within her mind and the very truth of them in turn. Malia, perhaps, so effortlessly having found the very reason for that utter lack of emotion on the man as a whole. Frost having learned so terribly young that it was simply better, simply easier, not to be made to feel. Emotions brought nothing but pain in the end- so why allow it to happen? Why allow his captors to have even a tendril of ability to harm him and even if they could, why give them the satisfaction? They could hardly reach him within his own mind and indeed it was within his mind Frost was so often content to stay, presenting that world with little more than that jaded exterior that was so rarely allowed to thaw. Frost making a distinct effort tonight, here and now, to offer his pack mate.....something off himself in some effort to gain that trust perhaps. To have her understand that despite appearances he was not as oblivious to them as he appeared, not as cold as his namesake and indeed some part of him....cared. Even if he was loath to show it. She was worth his time. She was unlike any other in his pack and that alone made her worth it. Even if she, one day, chose to leave and carve out her own pack and life then at least she might remember something he had taught her and live all the better for it. Perhaps his methods were harsh, sometimes, and yet harsh was all he had ever known. Harsh made people listen. Harsh got their attention and those lessons were remembered. Maybe they didn't understand all the time, maybe they would never see it was for their own good and yet some part of the stallion had tried to help those beings around him even if he had only brought them pain. They had never forgotten him. They had never forgotten what he had taught them no matter the lesson and in the end that was all that mattered. Maybe they would survive another goddamn day on this wretched earth for it. If they did- he had succeeded. Frost inclined, in the least, to a slightly more gentle approach when it came to Malia.

The Girl reminded him of himself after all. Besides, she was a member off his pack and that alone placed that banner of care over her. Frost attempting to make that connection with her now if only to further secure those bonds, to make sure she felt needed and wanted and valued. After all, isn't that what everyone wanted in the end? A purpose? If she felt even slightly.....closer to him at the end of the night then that was all he truly desired. If she trusted him to care for her then should he not offer her some slither of trust in return and offer her even the barest notion of what had occured in his past. She, perhaps better then any, would understand. The wild had its own rules. Malia had lived them. That comment about his mother prompting an almost...modest reaction from the often arrogant stallion. That alone seeming to prompt Malia's amusement. Frosts mother a decidedly sore topic from the man and yet one that...softened him all the same. Some redeeming qualities so seemingly evident beneath that hard surface.

He was almost thankful for that shift in conversation to Hunters, Frost willingly providing the same of that company that had all but revolutionized Hunter equipment in the past few years. Frost himself having terribly little to do with KohlTec all the same. In the least, the weapons were barely lethal, the stallion knowing little about the Hunter behind them all the same. Such a business hardly registering on his radar and yet, what and how that weapon was made would surely give her the answers she desired. That query of why they couldn't just band together met with a shake off his head and yet he could hardly say he disliked the women's sheer tenacity. The idea, after all, was appealing in every sense and yet the Hunter Council was no small army. Rather, a very species designed to eliminate them and one capable of fighting on mass. Frost frowning even now at the idea before mentioning those databases that gave them even more of an edge. Malia seemed to consider that idea for a moment, Frost watching her still before the woman abruptly queried why they didn't have a database on them. The Hunters themselves. Hmm. The girl had balls he could hardly deny that. Frost affording a curious look for a moment before speaking.

"There is no reason why we don't. Nothing stopping us in the least. I have access to some of the Council's database. I have a few access codes in the least. I could potentially find something on a few of them if you might be interested in putting that information together. As for the ones we are missing information on- all we need to do is provoke them into using their powers. Do you have a plan for this?"

What was a little extra mission? Frost hardly opposed to the idea if Malia had the spine to construct it. The stallion allowing his thoughts to shift then to that mention of vampires and Fae, the man more than willing to offer that information on those species if only to further help the woman understand them and prevent herself getting killed. Even if death-by-fae was unlikely. A vampire a far more real threat. The stallion unaware, in that moment, of that desire the woman had to find a Fae. That near casual mention of his trip to Iceland and indeed her role in his absence readily seized on by the woman. Malia snorting as if the idea was ludicrous. Frost merely allowing his shoulders to shrug. She was capable of what she believed she was capable off. Malia hardly seeming the type to back down from any sort of challenge, or the type t doubt herself, how curious.

"Then you'll learn."

He answered simply enough, his words affording little room for argument. It was that further talk off her old pack and her role within it that seemed to see that flare return to the girl. Malia speaking with a ready animation about the role she had played. The girl more a leader then Frost truly suspected she realised. She was clever, witty, bold and yet not without restraint. They were good qualities. Valuable even. She merely needed to utilise them further. Frost content enough to offer her that ongoing task of sorts. The woman's response to that notion of her own intelligence seeing his own lip quirking again.

"You alone, it seemed, worked that out. It seems you were more intelligent than the rest of your pack. You had more initiative in the least. Don't water down your own gifts. You were better than them, it's not a crime, the best of us survive."

Blunt. Simple and yet no less true he was sure. The woman commenting idly that an honourable win was worth more any day. Frost half inclined to ask her to who it was worth more. The man who won or the dead man and yet for now he held his tongue. Her comment on his own leadership skills prompting that near playful role of his eyes.

"I am the eternal surprise. As for sending them my way, do that, I would like to see what or who you can find. If you find anyone not a Were who you think might be beneficial for our pack to know then tell me of them too. I am not opposed to having...contacts amongst other species. You see someone or something of interest, you hear something you think I should know, tell me."

His head nodded simply then, that task easily given before he finally lent away from that railing he had occupied for the past half hour or so, his hand gesturing downstairs then.

"Now, are you still heading out for the night or are you going to grace me with your presence for dinner?"
