West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

This Time I'm Not Scared

It's not my fault, that I haven't heard very good things about vampires. I have heard horror stories about them. You would think the supernatural creatures would have a bit more tolerance or understanding of one another. Especially when their kind, well my kind too now, were being hunted down. If we're the ones being hunted down by Dark Hunters then I'm pretty sure we should be able to disregard our differences and at least live in a more supportive environment. I'm not saying we should all hold hands and sing kumbaya, but we should at least try to treat each other with decency and respect. From what I hear about Vampires they are not very kind to anyone at all. I swear Were-creatures are the most gossip driven people I have ever met in my entire life! They are not afraid at all to speak to their mind, share their stories, and warn others about anyone and anything. They were the ones that told me I shouldn't work for a Dark Hunter, because one day I would actually die by his own hand, because they have such an addiction to killing their kind. Well, I've been here for over a year now and I can assuredly say that is a lie. Hell, my own Great Uncle hasn't hunted me down yet. The man hasn't even spoken to me. The last time he spoke to me was the night before Frost was supposed to come and take me away. He didn't have one kind thing to say that entire night. The man spent that time venting about Frost and who he was, and how this was an awful tragedy that his own grand-niece had to become a filthy animal. Although I hear terrible things about Dark Hunters, I hear mostly, even worse things about vampires. So, it surprises me that the Were-King is quick to denounce my thoughts on the immortal creatures, rather vouching for one in particular. I merely nod quietly to recognize that I at least knew about the gastropub. The rest of the café workers and I go there for lunch on payday.

There wasn't much for me to respond to. I could ask about why he considers the owner of the gastropub to be the nicest woman ever, but there was a game to play. Well, a game to learn more about him. Like I said, I noticed that Were-creatures like to spread a lot of gossip. He was considered the 'King of the West' and there was very little many knew about him. Now, I don't plan on going about spreading any tales myself. However, I would like to know a little bit more. It seems quite ridiculous that the man hadn't stepped foot into a grocery store. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't like going to the grocery store at times too, but if I'm going to eat something, I have to. Sure, I could change into a horse and eat the grass in my lawn, but grass wasn't that appetizing. I guess it is okay that she cooks for them and not for every soul that walks into the Ark. Man, that would be annoying I think. I know exactly the next sort of Never have I ever question to throw at him, but I was interrupted by the sound of the timer going off. Jumping off the counter top, and wavering a bit from the alcohol in my system, I manage to make my way over. Grabbing the spatula I begin to layer that delicious icing on the cooled cake, placing it gently onto the dessert. I can practically hear that impatient whine, faintly touching his voice. With a Cheshire grin I shake my head, happily tormenting him with a 'No.' With a serious tone, I teasingly explain to him, why we couldn't eat the cake just yet, well, my birthday cake!

"We can once you can make a candle appear and set it on fire, so that I can blow it out and make a wish."

Hey â€" it's my birthday, and tradition states I deserve a wish. I have no idea what I'm going to wish for, but I am pretty sure I am allowed to have one...even if I am turning the coveted age of 21. While he is busying himself with this task, I continue to work on icing the cake. By the time he arrives with the candle I am finished. Placing the spatulas into the now empty bowl of icing, I patiently wait for the Were-Kingto place the candle on the cake, and set it on fire. I don't expect him to sing. Hell, I don't even gesture that he should. Instead I stare at the cake for a minute, and then another one, trying to stifle any laughter. I mean, my goodness the man looks completely sad and upset that he cannot have a piece of the cake just yet. Ah well, I guess I shouldn't torture him for long. After all, the smell of the chocolate cake is only causing my stomach to growl. Pulling my blonde hair behind my ears, I lean in, and blow out the candles in one full breath, making my wish. It's a wish I know won't come true, but it's a wish that I don't mind attempting. Grabbing two forks I hand one to him. Proceeding to dig my own into one of the corners of the cake, tearing a chunk with my fork, and bringing the delectable treat to my lips. With a satisfying sigh, I start to dig in eagerly. I forgot that when drinking, and heavily drinking, it was important to eat food. Once I had my fill of the cake, I placed the fork down, leaning into the countertop grinning at the Were-King. Thankfully I was leaning into the countertop, because with all that liquor in my system, and the fact that it was getting pretty late, I was quite tired.

"Okay, so...I am fairly certain this one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had."
