West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

He had not anticipated this. Tobias' gaze shifted toward that very metal crate he had only moments ago claimed as his own. Alexis insisting she did not see his name upon it. Tobias entirely content to stare at that box in search of his own moniker though whether he believed his staring might somehow rally it into appearance else he was attempting to consider whether or not he might be able to write it reminded to be seen. That very question of why that crate belonged to him however seemed to prompt only more of that thought. His features inclined to frown with the sheer effort it seemed to take to draw those thoughts to the forefront of his mind. 'Why' so eternally proving to be a near difficult question for the boy. Tobias mind so often struggling to comprehend the 'why' of anything in the world. The reason behind his own actions so apparently equally as baffling to the man. That very pause in Alexis' words and too- that near expectant look upon the young woman's face so gave away that insinuation she clearly expected an answer. Tobias having learned enough of that unspoken language of sorts to understand that expectation. The young man taking several more moments of deep consideration upon the topic before those fractured, broken lyrics managed to fall from his lips.

"It is....for Tetra and Tobi.....because it....is for boys."

Yes. It was for boys. Alexis was not a boy. He was mostly sure. By that notion alone she simply could not sit upon the crate. This very rule, to the mind of Tobias, finite and complete. A rule that could neither be broken nor argued. The boy distinctly pleased with himself as he nodded in clear satisfaction before so attempting to convince Alexis she surely wanted to go inside. That newly drawn moustache and comical pair of glasses upon the woman's features seemed to raise ever so slightly with the movement of her face. That very action prompting that lopsided little grin to Tobias' own lips once more and yet, those obscure glances were hardly unusual for the boy in any sense. Tobias so frequently content to carry out entire conversations alone. Whether or not Alexis, in turn, deemed that obscure smiling to be strange surely remained to be seen. His packmate insisting the inside of the Ark was cold, stuffy and far less appealing then the warmth of the sun outside. Her answer only further deepened that scowl upon his lips. Tobias very rarely....refused in any sense. The vast majority of that Ark and its employees, along with his packmates, so often choosing to merely do as he pleased if only as an act of appeasement. His mind turning readily over the woman's refusal to do as he asked only to attempt to justify that request with the oncoming threat of rain. A threat that hardly seemed to stir the woman into action. Tobias so choosing instead to bring out those metaphorical 'big guns' with the sudden declaration Tetradore wanted to see her. Yes. Tetradore. The boy having learned long ago his favoured companions name seemed to prompt reaction in those around him. Alexis asking after just what Tetradore had said. That cunning Leopard meeting her gaze readily then.

"Tetra says....he wants to....see Pretty Alexis....he says to Tobi......to bring Pretty Alexis to him.....yes."

His head nodded once more as if to affirm that very fact to himself. Tobias waiting for Alexis to detangle herself from those ropes and pull herself to her feet before hurriedly leading the way back across the top of that deck and toward the steel stairs that lead down and into the depths of the ark. His own bare feet padded softly upon that floor, that marker pen still concealed within his hands and held in front of him now to prevent his pack mate spotting it. The inside of the ark was indeed far darker and cooler. Tobias himself hardly seeming afflicted by that change as he paused upon the wooden floor to wait for Alexis to descend that stairs, his gaze flickering from the woman to Tetradore's office and back. The Leopard almost certain that Tetradore would enjoy such a game as this. The sudden sound of someone else approaching readily saw the young man wheel about to spy Jackal strolling down that hall, the little mexican affording Alexis a truly curious look. Alexis, why is your face...?

"JACKAL!"

That sudden shout from Tobias readily seemed to startle the little man. Jackal jolting in response. The man's gaze shifted from Tobias, to Alexis and back again as if attempting to understand that very situation.

"Jackal is....talking to much."

How very confused that man appeared! Jackal clearly attempting to decide whether or not to argue that very statement before seeming to give up entirely. The man merely nodding before hurrying off down the hall rather than involve himself whatever it was Tobias was clearly doing. Two more staff members passed them then. Both struggled to conceal their chuckles at the sight of Alexis' hand drawn glasses. Tobias entirely keen to continue to lead the way to Tetradore's office. Only for that young bartender to step out from her own room then, eyeing Alexis with a clear curiosity. What's on your face?
