West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Edge of the Circle

Cull & Pistol

Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.

Bartender Raylin Chike

Noah's Ark

Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar. Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

West

I hadn't known what to think when he'd told me to follow him away from the south part of town. I'm nervous as all get out cause I have no idea what he has in mind. Tobi has proven himself to be rather unpredictable at the best of times and after asking about my fighting skills, I'm truly wondering if I should worried for my life at this point. Where is he taking me? We enter the west part of town and I notice the immediate change in his posture. He walks straighter, prouder, much like a cat after they've had a good meal and belly rub and are satisfied with their domain. This is his domain; there's no doubt in my mind. I move closer to him, as if his proximity will save me from danger that may be lurking in the shadows. He doesn't even look back to make sure I'm following, probably too confident in that fact to bother. We head into the harbor and I look at the boats in wonder. I've always liked watching the boats in the harbor, especially in the mornings when the docks are busy with people all with things to do and places to be. No one ever seems to pay me much attention as they move around barrels and call out commands and get the boats ready for sailing.

I've always found something rather magical about it but tonight it seems haunted and gloomy. The boats are mostly empty but I can hear music and ruckus clear as day. My body shudders at the thought of a crowd and once more, I move closer to Tobi, glancing up at him. The fear is evident in my eyes as I call upon my shield, having it at the ready just in case. He gestures toward a large boat suddenly before moving into the shadows and I pause, only to have my hand pulled as I end up next to him by a door I didn't know was there. I gasp in surprise at the touch of his hand, moving beside him as a shadow as we stand before the door and the man who seems content to whistle in my direction. I shrink back as if slapped, eying him with fear and revulsion.

As Tobi and I move into the boat, I stick close to him, already scared out of my mind. There are too many people here, way too many. The sounds are too loud and the men are vulgar and I look at Tobi, only to see him grinning as if he couldn't be happier to be here. Suddenly he looks at me and says something about a game and I shudder in answer.

"Tobi...I don't know about this..."

The hesitation and fear is obvious in my voice and posture, my shoulders hunched and my arms close to my sides as I look around with wide eyes. He suddenly grasps my hand again and I let out another gasp, still not used to the touch of a male. He moves through the crowd with ease, a growl escaping his lips that makes me tense but then I notice the look he giving the other people and I see them shrinking away from us, letting us pass without so much as touching me. I feel myself relax a little, moving more easily with Tobi now that I know they won't touch me as long as I stay with him. When he stops though, I suddenly don't feel so safe at all. I take in the obstacle course, my jaw parting open as my breathing stops completely for a few seconds. My eyes widen even more, my heart racing as I pull my arms around me in a hug. I see the flash of the fire and I shrink back, stumbling into a man somewhere behind me who grunts gruffly as I stagger away from him, stuttering apologies. I look back at Tobi, shaking my head vigorously as I stare at the fire in a paralyzing fear.

"No, Tobi. No, I can't do that..."

My whole body is shivering as I hug myself more firmly, my hair falling down in my face as tears threaten to fill my eyes.

"Can we find..something else to do?"

My voice is almost pleading by this point.
