West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Some fear fire, but I've become it.

Tetradore's father admitted that he had been hanging about the Ark for hours. For hours. It was only now that he decided to pay her a visit. It only left her wondering what he was doing in that span of time. It was anyone's guess and did nothing to answer a single one of those questions that danced within her mind. He admitted he had only been at that spot for only a few seconds. A few seconds was all it took to cause the woman to nearly jump out of her skin at his arrival. Everything about Matteo was the epitome of surprise and the man seemed to eat it up. She could only wonder what brought him here, now, of all times. At least it was only a few seconds and not a few minutes of listening to what she had muttered to herself just moments ago.

"Two hours?" She questioned out loud. "Is there anything I should know?" How certain she already knew the answer to that. She shook her head softly. Some things, maybe, were just better off not knowing. It was then that the excited squeal of a woman caught her attention. It was no surprise that women flocked to the charming fae Frenchman. The waitress nearly melted under that one glimpse of attention. It was almost an embarrassing representation of her gender. It would seem that woman lost all sense around the fae, she practically swooned at the mere sight of the man that gave her barely any notice beyond a slow perusal of her body. Yup, her gender was doomed. Or maybe just highly distracted by the opposite sex.

It was funny how when there was work to be done, no one was around, but when the sight of a handsome face was present... the one person she saw all day. Mira watched as the other woman practically ran off to alert the others at the back without even any acknowledgement to Mira herself. Not even a glance. A soft defeated sigh left her lips before the flirtatious Frenchman's attention left the excited woman and his silver eyes fell entirely upon Mira once more... which only made the she-wolf wonder what it was that he was here for.

Was he waiting for Tet? If that were the case he would be waiting... for a long while. The alpha was in a deep, dead-to-the-world sleep which meant he wasn't waking anytime soon. At least not with good reason. She considered Matteo's words that Tetradore was quite good at sleeping. Amusement flickered within her own golden, molten-hued eyes before she claimed that the alpha could not make an entrance if he was early or on time.

This earned her a chuckle, his lips remained into a pleasant smile as if the thought amused him. How quick to laugh and smile he was... So unlike his stoic, unreadable son. She had no time to think about it as he quickly argued that her boyfriend was far more known for his exits rather than his entrances and that as a child he would slam the door with such unmatched passion. For some reason, she hadn't expected it. Her tet? Really? She could not help the soft laugh that escaped her, her brows rose.

"He still holds the record? I can't even imagine it. I have never seen Tet lose his cool. Not even in the ring. It's wild to imagine that there was a time when he was a handful growing up." She grinned slightly at the thought. Curious of a teenage Tet with a defiant chip on his shoulder. Tet rarely ever spoke of his past, any of it. The rare times he did, it was almost startling and yet he was just as quick to close the door on the topic just as quickly as it had opened. " You know, I wouldn't be against hearing more." Surely he would have more stories of Tet before his Ark days. In fact, the she-wolf was now infinitely and openly curious of that topic.

Matteo then shook his head before he revealed that he didn't come to visit his son, but to visit her. Why did that surprise her so much? Maybe it had to do with the fact that this was the first time. Was something amiss? She could not help the pressing thought. Or maybe Matteo wished to pull another fast one on her. He had stolen one of Tet's cars right underneath her nose. Could he blame her for being a little suspicious of him now?

She was glad Tet didn't blame her for the ordeal. The Frenchman admitted that Tet still hadn't fully forgiven him. Something that wasn't likely to last. It was obvious that Tet cared for his father. While he might not be planning to hijack a car, he did already cause quite a stir within the kitchen with the women. Something that he hardly seemed surprised of. In fact, he blamed it on his incredible allure. As if it could not be helped. "Oh, absolutely not at all on purpose." She placed her hand upon bar, amused but clearly not quite buying it.

Well, if he was truly here to see her, it seemed wrong to see him sitting at her bar without a drink in his hand. Something Mira sought to remedy with that offer for a drink. An offer he certainly did not hesitate to take her up on. The Frenchman asked for a shot of gin and to simply put the bill on Alexander's tab. Alexander's tab? She had not seen Tetradore's grandfather here before.. It was surprising that he had a standing tab.

But it was Tet's family. She had no reason to contest it.

"Coming right up." She stated warmly, promptly made short work of that order with ease. She turned around to slide the shot of gin across the polished bartop and toward Matteo, only to watch the man down the drink in one swift go. Without a word, he placed the shot glass back onto the bar and slid it right back towards her in a clear indication of another. Without question, the she-wolf grabbed the bottle of gin and easily filled up that shot glass again while that inquiry of how one ended up in the area... on a boat no less. This time, he took his time with his drink as he claimed that he did not boat often and that his family did not let him drive.

Mira's grin turned into a full-fledged smile, even as he frowned. He truly had to know why this was. "After the display I saw, I can't say I am surprised by this. You know, considering how you managed to.... Uh... park your son's Lamborghini in your other son's garden. Seems almost like you were trying for a two for the price of one. " 'Park' was a kindness considering he crashed into it with flourish and nearly destroyed it if not for being able to fix the damage done with near immediacy. How even she remembered she had nearly shouted for the arguing to stop. That night was awful and yet it was almost a distraction from the Ark. Almost like he planned it that way. " But if I didn't know any better.. I would almost say you did it on purpose." She eyed the Frenchman then as if she had tried to discern that very thing for some time now.

However, it was a shame that they met under those circumstances. Yet, she couldn't help but wonder. Would she have met Tet's family if it not for such tragedy to bring them together? She refused to think about it further. Her smile faded but her face remained pleasant as Matteo spoke once more. He suspected that she might enjoy his company and that time passed better with good conversation. That and he admitted they haven't had much of a chance to speak with each other. That she had been with his son longer than any other. Tet didn't really bring up exes. In fact, it was hard to imagine what existed before.... That there might have been another woman who was introduced to his family.

The brunette nodded in agreement. "Isn't that the truth. I have to say it is kind of nice to have the company, the Ark can get kind of quiet at times." The Were-woman admitted, but her mind circled back to the mention of the 'others'.

"By any other you mean.... His past girlfriends?" Was she really his longest relationship?

Yet, just as quickly as that topic surfaced, Matteo changed it on a whim, catching the woman off her guard. How did it go when she took Tet home to meet her family? She could only imagine what he told his father about the whole ordeal. "Oh you know.... it was... eventful." Mira admitted, not bothering to go into any great detail on the matter. Maybe the correct term was not eventful, even if it was. But it was also inevitable.

Maybe they both were destined to meet each other's families under less-than-ideal circumstances. After all, they had met under less-than-ideal circumstances too. Did she sense a theme? "It was good to see them again though, to see that they are safe. It puts my mind at ease. I am glad they got to meet him though. My sister insisted on calling him 'mystery man' far more than necessary." She said with a relaxed nod, arm casually crossed as she was seemingly unbothered by the question even though it did seem rather odd to bring up on a whim. But perhaps given who she was talking to, she shouldn't be all that surprised.
