West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

It did not occur to her that her previous behavior would frighten Alexis. The lupine was only acting as she should. As a member of her pack she knew she was supposed to protect the border and since she had a trespasser, that did not leave and attacked her, she felt she was allowed to retaliate. It pained her to see the vixen decide to follow Frost...it was not only insulting, but quite depressing. Everything she did for Alexis seemed almost like nothing to the girl. The trust she had for her was destroyed. The lupine was incapable of trusting others so quickly, and so she would take this extremely hard, and there may be no hope that the friendship could ever be fixed. Alexis made her decision and Raven learned a valuable lesson â€" always caring and giving for another was something she should tread carefully, because the one you care for and provide everything for may in return abandon you.

It was that cold seething voice that caught her attention that caused the girl to turn around. Ebony fur began to rise up in a threatening manner as a deeper growl rumbled in the bottom of her chest, her scarred frame lowered as she steadied herself â€" waiting for the right moment to attack. Always she was used to being berated and yelled at by others, many in her pack constantly put her down, and already being with her new pack allowed the girl to grow some self-confidence. What he said stung, as all the other vile words she heard, but she was certain she could force him to back down and leave. Seeing him limp brought a glimmer of pride in her eyes as she barred her teeth waiting for him to get close, but before she could do anything else she felt frozen. Her frame would begin to shiver as she felt every form of heat seem to vacate her body, all of a sudden, and it was painful. Eyes widen as she attempted to lift her paw and it remained still on the ground. As he began to press his hoof along her back left leg the poor girl struggled to move, and a sharp cry was uttered as she instantly fell. The sickening crack of her bone breaking under his hoof was more than enough to make her sick as eyes closed. Another sharp cry was given as she opened her eyes to discover his hoof dangling over her left arm, ears fold back as another cry was given when he broke that limb.

Unable to move she remained lying there watching as he came closer. Black lips pulled back to reveal her sharp teeth. If she were to go down then she would not give him the satisfaction that she had accepted defeat. As his teeth sunk into the back of her shoulder she let out a wince and felt her frame be lifted upwards and then violently swung into a brick wall. Her form would slump to the ground with a garbled grunt, and as he picked her up and threw her into the opposite side of the wall she felt something, somewhere crack. A harsh choking cough was given as her frame went limp and he slammed her into the wall yet again. This would go on and on for a while, each time her body was slammed into the wall and fell to the ground she could feel new bruises appearing and another few rib bones break. Broken and bloodied form looked completely in shambles on the ground and her eyes would slowly begin to close as everything around her became hazy. Depleted of warmth and enveloped with all sorts of pain, her breathing ragged, her conscious was slowly fading in and out. Frostbite began to wedge itself into the fresh bite wounds that littered between her shoulder blades and the scrapes she received from the walls. With a final shaky breath those blue-grey eyes closed and she saw nothing but darkness, all the sounds around her seemed to fade away as her mangled and broken body remained still.

Raven did not feel Frost lift his power off her to keep her still. His foot touching her bloodied hide was not felt, because if it was, she would have lunged at him even if she were in pain. As Alexis picked her up she would feel the girl be entirely cold, the feel of her very broken bones moved around from the sudden pressure of finger tips. Her breathing was shallow, and help a gurgling sound as her tongue slithered out from her jaws, her head dangling. Alexis healing ability allowed very limited warmth to be felt around her paws and ears, but it did very little if nothing to the open wounds she received from Frost. The gentle touch of her face should have brought reassurance to the damaged girl, but she was within a broken and bleak state. When Frost lifted her and threw her form towards the dock her eyes would open, briefly, and a garbled choked gasp was given, before her eyes closed once again. In her old pack she was not considered anything. There was no value to her. She did not know if her current Alpha liked her or not, she tried to be a good member and asset to the pack, and he wasn't one that really attempted to bond with his members, and so she would most likely never know what he thought of her. It did not occur to her that Tetradore would be willing to fight Frost for harming one of his own, and if she ever found out, she would have been grateful. Tetradores roar did not seem to have an effect on the crushed canine. Not even Tobias enraged yowl stirred her awake.

While Tobias carried her into the Ark her head would press into his chest his juvenile healing ability seemed to take away some of the bruising and minuscule scrapes â€" just as Alexis capability was. Being far from Frost and the bedroom within the Ark providing some extra warmth seemed to cause the battered woman to stir. A soft whimper emitted from her maw as she felt Tobias lay her on the bed, her ribs piercing her side and lungs. Unable to remain within her lupine form any longer she would begin an extremely slow shift back to human, the sound of broken bones moving sounded like a cascade of horrific popping that seemed to echo within the silent room. Sharp canine cries were replaced with a young womans' soft screams of agony until her now naked form went still. While Tobias touched her frozen flesh it was no surprise to see the effects of frostbite begin envelop her battered and broken form. Even though the blanket provide some form of warmth that wouldn't seep away she would begin to shiver. For a moment the girl that could only see darkness and hear nothing could hear a faint familiar voice.

As her troubled mind began to slowly come back her conscious self could hear clearly Tobias' voice shout out random words. Still in a state of shock her mind was incapable of putting any of the pieces together until the blackness began to swell with color as a memory began to play. The poor boy was confused, irritated with himself, as he struggled to explain his actions and feelings. That frustrated expression on his face seemed to fade away as those cautious dark eyes looked to her with confusion, and a small sliver of hope, from her voice â€" promising to help explain what he did not know. Still in her bleak state she could hear his frustrated voice clearly as she attempted to get herself awake, that desperate note in his tone called for the girl to respond as needed. She had promised him and whether she was on the cusp of death or not she would keep her vow. While he hollered and ranted the girl remained still, but Raven could feel herself struggle to wake up and get back to him. As those healing vibes continued to thrum and find the small injuries she could feel her companion begin to kneel beside the bed. His threat to kill everyone kept her in a panic state, the need to reach him, to speak to him remained great as she continued to struggle to wake up. Her unbroken hand would tremble as the she-wolf slowly began to open her eyes. With a wince she slid her hand towards his shoulder, to get his attention and to physically reassure the boy, knowing that certain touches seemed to calm him down. Pained eyes began to swell up as she began to feel her the nasty affects Frost had done to her body, a sharp breath was given as she felt one of her broken ribs rub against her lung, as she choked out a soft voice, each few words struggled out.

"Anger...frustration...you are angry Tobi...that is what you feel. It is okay to feel this, but I need you to be white...to be calm,... because I'm in ...a lot of pain."

Her eyes would close once more only this time she attempted to bite back the pain she was feeling. The effects of the frostbite seemed to tighten its grip on her. Underneath the blanket her naked scarred skin was as pale as snow, the ice crystals already formed within the tissue, and although she felt warmth returning to her the girl knew it wasn't real. As she began to panic her heart would begin to pound as her eyes reopened and she would shift them left and right widely. The feeling in her left arm and hand to her left leg was completely gone, her right hand suddenly flayed around as she struggled to get up, but the sharp stabs from her broken ribs and damaged back caused her to lie still within the bed. As tears began to trickle from her eyes she would tilt her head slightly with a worried and panic look on her scarred face. Her voice choked out, as she breathed shortly wincing each time she spoke, as a soft cry was released once more.

"Tobi...I can't move my left leg and arm it is broken, some ribs are too...and I'm still cold Tobi, I need to get warm. Please help."

What Tobias could do she did not know, but the effects of frostbite and broken bones should have been enough to keep her knocked out. Yet she was Were and although her she was capable of healing, it would be a completely long process thanks to her weakness. Tonight she would need all the help she could get to keep her at least stabilized.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
