East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya Tetradore

Frost's tone at the singular word he offered brushing her mind wasn't lost on her. The attempt at scolding her caused Nadya to raise a brow and a smirk to twitch the corner of her lips. Honestly, what else did he think would happen from sending someone like his Beta into the Ark and then having her hang on him as the woman was now. Nadya's gaze narrowed though when Edie firmly pressed against her side when she had been dismissed by Frost. It flared the beast within her to teach the woman not to provoke lest she desire another lesson. If they hadn't been standing within the establishment of the Red on the Water and been the face of the Nightshade pack then Nadya would have taken Edie on again. However, that would only be detrimental to building a good image with the potential mayor. So instead Nadya turned her irritated gaze back to Frost as she gripped Sam's arm for support. "You know him?" Surprise colored Nadya hearing Sam greet Frost by name. There was brief panic within the young panther as she remembered describing in a jumbled mess everything that had her shifts haywire. Now she was ever grateful she hadn't mentioned Frost's name. Of course her brother had warned his girlfriend about the man deemed dangerous. "Let's go." Quickly Nadya nudged the fae to get moving while offering Frost the barest of excuses to leave as quickly as possible.

Nadya had honestly been counting on Frost's more reserved nature to ensure a hasty get away. She was thoroughly taken aback when the feeling of cool fingers wrapped around her free hand and pulled her deftly apart from Sam. A mixture of surprise and not wanting to make a scene at such a prestigious event kept Nadya moving with the motion that Frost created. Worry though dwelled within the panther as she looked over her shoulder towards Sam. If the fae knew who Frost was there was genuine worry that, unintentionally, she would mention the night to her brother. She had promised her brother to keep away from Frost afterall and here she was...dancing with him. Albeit not her idea. For a moment Nadya refused to look at the man who had pulled her away from her friend though her feet stepped reluctantly after his allowing him to lead in the dance.

Her posture stiffened slightly at his words though. She hated him looking into her mind. She knew so little about him that it was unfair he know so much about her. Nadya turned a glare up to meet the violet of his eyes. Her fingers twisted where her hand had rested gently on his chest- her other occupied still braced in his hand, and pinched him quickly through the fabric of his suit. It was the only method of disapproval she could truly give him. "You don't get to talk about them." If he was going to continue to poke at delicate matters then it would make the nerve soothing alcohol she had just downed a moot point in keeping the shift at bay from the boil of emotions that were threatening to burst from her at the seams. "They're happy...and alive." Nadya huffed finally, glancing briefly to ensure Sam was still there while catching Edie dragging Dorian along to his very apparent displeasure. "Your Beta needs work.... She shouldn't start things she can't finish." Nadya looked back to Frost, eyeing him critically. She had thought when Frost continued his attempts to gain her into his pack that it would have been the position of Beta that she would be in. Nadya had afterall made it quite clear to him during his first offer that she was no...omega. So now he had filled that position and it had caused the sliver of jealousy that existed within Nadya to lash out. It was an interesting mix of emotions to try to cover up as she spoke and not think about not being chosen...and question exactly what he wanted from her now...what was she to him. "You like power...but you chose her... What, all the others too much of a challenge for you?"

Perhaps she was playing with fire with Frost, but this figurative dancing between them was only all too familiar. Nadya was only all too aware of the stallion's proximity, the feeling of his hand on her hip, the touch of his skin where he clasped her hand, the smell of his subtle cologne, and the gentle body heat that existed between them. The panther within had the keen memory of the warmth he was capable of generating and wished to pull closer to seek that again while the stubborn human part bat it away with reminders of their only too recent encounter with Jackal. No...she was still upset at him. He sent some other woman after her into the Ark whom had only goaded her and then witnessed him attacking Jackal; he deserved all the glaring and pinching and tongue lashing.
