East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I can tell by her surprised features that she's not used to such open compliments. That should change if she continues to hang out with me because I'm never shy about letting a woman know just how beautiful she is. Of course I only say it to the pretty ones but then I don't usually find myself in unfavorable company. That is, unless I'm with some vicious vampires or such. But tonight I'm just hanging out with a beautiful fairy queen who obviously isn't used to compliments. I've noticed the faint scar on her neck and I can only guess it has to do with her turning. She said it wasn't a pleasant experience after all. She tells me that her roommate tried to teach her to dance and that he's her righthand. I smile and nod. "I'm sure that will change. Fairies will flock to follow you once they find out about you. It's not everyday you find a humble leader who truly cares about her people. I've come across some pretty nasty monarchies on my travels, more cult than monarchy. They worship themselves as gods and such. It's refreshing to be in your company. I'm sure others will feel the same." I pause for a moment. "As for his teaching skills, he gave up too easily. We're not leaving this beach till you're a pro. I'm just that good." I smile and give her a teasing wink.

I listen as she explains that she apparently did well during her lessons. "You want to be confident and comfortable while dancing, not just decent enough not to step on toes. A queen should walk tall in front of her followers." I turn my gaze back to the Ark. She seems quite fond of the place even though it's wrapped in iron and full of Weres that apparently don't take well to fairies. She's certainly different. When she says I can say I'm there to see her, I smirk. "I might just do that, as long as you don't think anyone will get jealous. Wouldn't want them thinking I'm challenging for your attention." I memorize the name, Jackal, anyway. Who knows? It might come in handy someday. She seems genuinely happy that I don't have ties for a monarchy. I didn't really come to town looking to join a group but then I didn't expect to come across a queen either. Who knows? This town might not be so bad to settle in, at least for a little while. She steps into the water with me, assuring me that she doesn't mind the cold. I raise a brow. "You sure you okay? I can feel you trembling." My voice softens with concern.

I can feel her relaxing after some time and I smile, triumph glowing in my eyes. "I would. Look at you. You're practically gliding." I say as I twirl her again in the waves before bringing up an intermediate lesson. I can tell she's confused at first but when she sees my wings, she seems to understand. She gets nervous again at first so I continue on as I did before, twirling and dancing slowly on top of the waves. I can feel the waves spraying up on our feet from below as they hit the rocks. I can feel her faltering so I hold her steady, guiding her with my arms and feet, allowing her to even put her feet on top of mine to help if she needs to. I can tell she's having fun though. I smirk. "I told you I was a better teacher. Don't worry, I never let my students fail....or fall." Chuckling, I spin her again and dip her, letting the tips of her hair hit the tops of the waves crashing below us before I pull her back up. I glance up, noting the moon slowly moving across the horizon. "I guess we've been dancing longer than I thought. Do I need to get you home before a certain curfew? Wouldn't want to get you in trouble."
