East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Nadya listened quietly as Edie explained as she settled into the chair and tipped back her shot of whiskey. She hadn't heard of a witch employing the use of a common fighting tool and not their magic that's for sure. "I should hope you learned your lesson." The Beta agreed with the assessment of Edie not seeking the witch out. Revenge could go so far South from its intended outcome. "It is strange though for an individual, witch or otherwise, even if they are new to go through such...drastic measures. Breaking someone apart isn't exactly something that happens just by stumbling on someone. Obviously she felt you were doing something." Nadya was slightly suspicious, more so in the way that Edie fidgeted in a manner that was wholly akin to the way Frost did when he was telling his half-truths. However, Edie wasn't her pack and therefore the dealings that went on inside weren't her business so she dropped it.

Her brow quirked slightly at the less than unconventional meeting between Edie and Kato. "Sounds like that was an eventful day. If only all run-ins like that meant for a happy-ending." Truly, how many people could say that running into hunters and getting shot was one of the best days in their life because they met their significant other. "That does sound like Frost though." Or at least how others spoke of his demeanor being. Nadya had only been witness to one account of his brutality, all other interactions, especially their most recent, had only shown her the man beneath the mask. On one hand it was thrilling to know that she was the only one who could bring that out in him and yet on the other she wished he would show the rest of the world that he wasn't as cold as his name implied.

Nadya poured herself another shot though simply held it between delicate fingers as she eyed Edie. "You were brimming with advice the last time we met but you're having trouble with your own relationship." With a sigh she contemplated the situation which drew a difficult parallel to another Were she knew. "The problem isn't that he will stop loving you. Most men, if they've stuck around this long even after being punched and under another Alpha's roof, they aren't going anywhere. The problem is that he isn't declared. He is a gray area, a rogue...even if he is your mate he isn't given the protection of the pack as a whole. I have a friend who I am fond of dearly but they are undeclared, for whatever reason doesn't want to choose a pack, and for that she is a gray area. I can only protect her from so much; if she is harmed by another pack I can't fight that other pack to save her because that would put the rest of my pack in jeopardy- it would be a declaration of war from the Nightshade for me to do that. Does that make sense?"

She hesitated a moment, unsure if she should even suggest it but if it was advice that Edie was silently searching for then Nadya would offer it. "Have you thought about not living in the pack home? If you aren't going to leave Frost's pack then why not get a house for just you and your boyfriend? Maybe if you have your own space it would make things easier to get him to declare himself as a part of the pack. Men are...fickle around each other whether they want to admit it or not."
