East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

His fingertips so delicately stroked the girl's cheek in an effort to so coax from her the words that so lingered on her tongue, utterly unvoiced though they were. Whatever it was, the were-king was well aware it wholly occupied the entirety of the demure redhead's thoughts. Softly, he strove to reassure her that those words, regardless of their intent or meaning, would scarcely affect his presence here, of that he was assured. His emerald gaze watched the young woman as she so attempted to find her way through the labyrinth of her thoughts, her own pale blue gaze so searching his though for what Tetradore was entirely uncertain. Still, he waited in silence, attempting wholly to reassure her with his presence alone till, slowly, her lips parted, vocalizing those words he'd certainly never expected to fall from her lips. She loved him. She loved him? He heard those words, of course, words he himself never said, not even to Samantha herself. Love. It stunned him to silence. After all, he couldn't fathom how she could ever possibly love him. Tetradore had been the epicenter of such much heartache and catastrophe for the demure girl. He had utterly destroyed her picture perfect, budding world.

A soft exhale left his lips at such an admittance, much less the words that came after. She knew? How did she know of Samantha? Though, he supposed that such a thought was silly in the first place. After all he could smell Damon's presence within this place, the man's musky scent marked the tavern the way a wolf might so piss on his territory. He could only assume he too cared that feather light scent of the woman whom he had so taken as his own. He had promised himself to her, not verbally, of course. But he had committed himself to dating her, to being hers, and that was a vow that he would not break. Not for anyone. He tried his best to remain true to his words, since they were so rarely given in the first place. No, they both belonged to another, their paths had taken them away from one another and while, he had at least been accepting of this initially, it was peculiar that they should find themselves so careening back to each other like magnets. It was that beseeching tone to her voice that so pulled his attention from such thoughts, his vibrant emerald eyes so fluttering back to her as he reminded himself that he had left her without an answer to the outpouring of her soul.

"Isolt." He started softly, hooking his fingertips under her chin as a way to ensure that her gaze remained steadily upon him. "I will always love you." Tetradore admitted softly, a small simper so gracing his features as he finally voiced that sentiment that had been within the man for quite some time before now. "But, you are right, the timing is not beneficial for either of us. Maybe if I had known before..." His voice trailed off before the man shook his head ever so slightly, dismissing such thoughts of what-if's and could-haves. "I know Damon is back, and I know well he utterly despises me but I've also seen the way you look at him..." And the way he wished she too looked at him with the same physical want. But no - he would not say that, not now. "...and I know you love him very much as well and I don't want to jeopardize what you've found with him either. Either way, you know you will always have a place in my heart." Gingerly, his fingers left her chin, instead slowly taking her hand in his as her lips brushed ever so sweetly against her knuckles, attempting as well as he could that though they certainly could not be a thing, he still cared for her regardless.
