East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Ripper

William Jack Holloway

William did not want to be here. All he had wanted to do was his evening was get very drunk and enjoy beautiful, half naked women that danced in front of him. All that had been stolen from him the moment that the Hunter woman had found him. Or more so, it had been stolen from him the instant that he had chosen to follow her instead of rid himself of her. Now, he was forced to stand here, dejected and sullen, while this mysterious Alexander continued to belittle him. The notion that he failed to be impressed caused the Dark Hunter to scowl, feeling more like a child who hadn't gotten his way in that moment than the two-hundred year old man that he was. His rebuttal fell short, however, by the glance from Anastasia and his name on her lips. It was a clear gesture, one speaking of telling him to simply shut up. Sullenly, he did so. Bastards.

He had been told that he would be coming here as this man was someone who could help him. The memory of it all was enough to make him want to laugh aloud. No one could help him. He'd trained for fifty years with his own maker, and not once in that fifty years had he managed to use his power without the threads of his sanity unraveling. There was not a single bit of hope in his being that said he might be able to one day control the power that he possessed. It was stubbornness, he presumed, that the Council thought he held. But no, he wished he could wield his power so easily. It would be a useful one to control - albeit a dangerous one. It was that on his mind as he watched the pair seem to simply ignore him. And all for a bloody bracelet. He should leave. And yet his curiosity for why Anastasia had brought him here held him firmly in place. Instead, he merely spoke again to tell them both the full extent of the power he was unable to control.

He watched in silence as the both Anastasia and Alexander seemed to go right back to ignoring him. The Russian lyrics the two of them shared only continued to annoy him, and with a sigh, he crossed his arms. It was only when Anastasia switched to English did he look up. "I won't let them have me." He muttered, kicking at the ground with the toe of his shoes. He was fully prepared to be dismissed once more, and as Alexander commanded that he sit, William merely eyed him bitterly. "I prefer to stand," He muttered, though after a few seconds of heavy silence, he put himself down in the chair. He kept his arms crossed, his eyes focused on the elder Hunter.

It was Alexander's words that had him feeling even more despondent. A manic murderer? It was the last thing that William would have used to describe himself, and yet now he couldn't see another set of words to describe himself. He was. He was nothing better than a murderer. There was nothing good about him, nothing human left. How many had he killed simply because of his own inability to control himself. He let out a soft sigh. "I'm good with knives," The man said simply, his eyes moving to fall to the floor. That was all, after all. Good at being a manic murderer, and that was it. He looked up, eyeing Anastasia with a pleading look. "Am I free to go now, or are you two going to continue to insult me?" He was feeling rather sullen as he sat within that chair amongst the two Hunters. "Or would you prefer handcuffs to arrest me?"

But darling -- it's only human nature.
