East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

For the longest, silent moment does Isolt stare into the beaming pixels of the office laptop, battling the nagging urge to convince herself that the words marqueed across the screen's expanse are farcical, that they are far too good to be true and therefore hardly intended for her. Surely mortal dreams, mortal ambitions, could not traverse the imposing iron veil which separated them from the afterlife's tenebrific ether and assumed dreamlessness. She had all but given up her greatest mortal dreams in this unending second life as the pursuit of alternate avenues had pulled and tugged at her in a manner that had proven itself to be far more persuasive than Isolt had ever dreamed possible. Never would she have fancied herself owning a business, especially not one as exceptionally successful and iconic as Red on the Water, the idea itself having never been entertained in the life before this one. And surely, above all other things, Isolt had never suspected that she might one day reign as Supreme of a coven of vampires who were so far her elder. It had been and was still an idea laced with anxiety and the bitter weight of a responsibility she had assumed, first and foremost, out of necessity given Damon's rather abrupt and unexpected departure. And yet, somehow, it had begun to grow as a tentative blossom within this small loom that had been her and Damon's creation.

And with growth, she supposed, there would come still more responsibilities for the budding Supreme. Diplomacy had always been one of many proverbial "spinning plates" that Isolt labored tirelessly to keep suspended, though to date time and circumstance had allowed for notably little in the way of advancement in this particular arena. It was a matter of insurmountable fortune that exhaustion could not find her as readily as it once had, for surely Isolt would have fallen into its arms feebly and more than once. There had always been presumed favor betwixt the Elysium coven and Tetradore's Nightshade pack by virtue of the relationhip and history that bound their respective leaders to one another though, again, Isolt had yet to broach the subject with any formality.

Thusly, it should have been of relatively little surprise that they be approached by another of Sacrosanct's leaders; though even as Damon eases open the door to their office Isolt is taken aback by the mere aroma of the visitor that has seen it fitting to extend to them this first olive branch. A faerie traipsing amongst vampires was certainly not something expected or oft witnessed even in times as progressive as these. Despite this abnormality, whatever etchings of surprise had sewn themselves into Isolt's features quickly unravel, ceding to that kindly, impeccably-beautiful smile that was the young woman's custom. Gently bringing the still-glowing laptop to a close, Isolt easily and gracefully travels the short distance to the doorway within which stands her lover and this new, as of yet unidentified, visitor. Dazzling cerulean eyes flicker from the shorter woman to Damon and back again in the span of a single moment. Isolt offers naught to infer that she has heard Damon's referance to the youthful sprite as a "queen", though it is a presumed impossibility given the heightened senses of their species. "Hello," she offers sweetly, sweeping a few gossamer auburn locks behind an ear before extending her hand to the woman who lingers in her doorway. "I'm Isolt. Please, come in."
