East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young woman was hardly opposed to those multitude of cultures that so afflicted the world, much less learning something about them. Though that Australian word felt entirely inquisitive upon her tongue, Chizue was hardly opposed to it, instead merely repeating it with some measure of curiosity. "Fair dinkum..." Her head tilted to the side ever so slightly. "Where is it from?" Chizue inquired after a moment, entirely unable to place the country or language or origin, much less the handsome hunter beside her. As it was, however, she hardly dwelled upon such an intriguing mystery long, at least, not in the wake of her own admittance upon what she was and, in turn, what she was capable of. It took some effort to so explain that which only her chocolate eyes could see. She hardly anticipated the smallest of simpers that so danced across her companion's features as she so told him to not fret over the ever demoralizing opinions of others. Still, she hadn't anticipated the words that fell with such a disheartening fashion from his lips. For a moment, Chizue's attention remained entirely attentively upon the man as he uttered how all he wanted was just someone to sit beside him, even if it was in silence. It was silly, how that simple admittance so touched the girl, and yet, she was entirely familiar with that loneliness that he so unintentionally voiced.

It was decidedly against her societal norms and yet, Chizue was perhaps young enough and, despite growing up overseas, had found enough measure of comfort that she found herself closing that small gap that existed between their seats, throwing her arms around the strange man in an effort to so reassure him with a hug, even despite the gap that their species so demanded. That brush of skin, however, was altogether fleeting, causing her cheeks to turn a small hue of pink even if she had initiated it all the same and quickly, the young woman pulled back to delcare with a enthusiastic voice that was clearly not to be argued with, "You can always come here and visit me again! And if everyone runs away then it won't be that bad because then it just means I get off work early!" Well, at the very least, she was eternally optimistic, even about the things he so despised of his new found existence as a Hunter. She returned to her chair, entirely willing to continue on the conversation without missing a beat lest he fill it with some terribly awkward comment on the hug she had done but certainly shouldn't have.

This inquiry on Buckley's was certainly entirely inquisitive to the young woman, the girl uttering how ineffective such sunglasses would be against the sun and yet, her own comment only seemed to provoke a glimpse of confusion across his own features. Oh dear - had she....misunderstood? His attempt to clarify his own question only caused the girl to nod in confirmation that the sun was still, however, the great equalizer against the undead like herself and the living that she once used to be, as utterly depressing as it was. It was perhaps that, however, that so saw the girl turn her attention with renewed enthusiasm towards the cards the man beside her was so capable of manipulating, the art was entirely entrancing to the young woman, as useless as it was so deemed by others. She turned over the card he'd changed, eying it with noteable awe only to glance up at the sound of his voice. To be able to put anything on a card! There was some use for that, she was sure! Still, she could hardly help the way her first thought so seemed to drift to that art that was born within her own country, the girl's imagination clearly taking hold of her within that moment.

A contemplative look so crossed the young woman's features as her newfound friend uttered that the other Hunters would not appreciate his skill either way. It was silly really, the way in which Chizue so wanted to help him. To make him formidable enough that the other Hunters might look at him with some measure of surprise, even if doing so was to her own danger. Her finger rose to her lips in an thoughtful fashion as she inquired to what cards he was capable of manipulating. It was the notion of business cards however, that so caught her attention. "Business cards? Could you do credit cards then?" It was silly, perhaps, how important such a question was and yet, there was an idea so forming on the forefront of her mind. Perhaps there was something she could do to help him after all. Still, before she was capable of furthering such line of questioning, one of her coworkers returned with their pies placed in front of them. A warm grin danced upon the girl's features as she picked up her fork, mixing the crust in with the interior. Her attention shifted at the sound Kohl's newest question, her head bobbing in confirmation that this was indeed exactly what she did.

It was, however, that inquiry of friends that so caused that smile to cross her features again. "Oh! I have a friend! Isolt is my friend! She owns the Red on the Water with her boyfriend. He's nice too. He just came back from....well, somewhere and she's trying to build a coven so they've been kind of busy lately." A small shrug crossed her features before her head tilted to the side in thought, the young woman's gaze drifting back towards the man at her side. "Will you be my friend too Kohl?" She inquired with a measure of tentativeness.
