East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I know that Isolt could have moved on in the time I was gone. I often had nightmares about it while the coven had me chained up and hooked to the vervain, steadily pumping into my blood stream to keep me sedate. I would wake many a time screaming out in protest at the image of her in another's arms. I know I could have returned to find she wasn't mine to have anymore and it would have ripped me apart. Maybe I would have become a ripper like my brother, started on a rampage draining humans and taking heads. Maybe I would have withdrew into the darkness and let myself mummify in depression or maybe I would have found a way to get over it and let her go, as long as she was happy.

Maybe over time I could have repaired myself from the inside out and made myself available for someone else in time...but I'll forever be glad that I didn't have to worry about that. I came back and though I still have a lot of groveling to do, she forgave me and took me back. I'll be forever grateful to whatever forces in this world kept her waiting for me. I don't want to think about a future without her in it.

The blush on her cheeks is pure bliss as she leans forward to kiss my cheek. I smile gently, my eyes twinkling with mischief as she nips at my skin before complimenting me. "Some would say I'm the worst." I mumble in return with a playful wink. She laughs at my response and I can feel the sudden electricity in the air, the way only she can make my skin tingle like I'm human again. I'm sure I would be nervous if I still had mortality on my side. Katherine used to make me nervous before I was turned and I know Isolt would have been the death of me could I have chosen. She is my goddess, my everything. I would never wish for another and I could never want another the way I want her always.

"I like where this is going." I murmur silkily as I lean in toward her, eyes darkening teasingly. I stroke my chin thoughtfully. "What kind of special are we talking here? Silk? Velvet? Straps? Leather? I'm dying to know more." I smirk. "I bet I look great in white."
