East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we were born with nothing
well we sure as hell have nothing now

In those delicate moments of silence that so afflicted the pair, Tetradore was all too aware of that glimpse that so marred the young and yet, often warm features of the young vampire queen. That sorrow so seemed to pervade all aspects of the young woman, tainting her with such an emotion that Tetradore so yearned to whisk away, even as those intensely vibrant emerald eyes so stared at her. Her name was but a softened whisper upon his lips, his eyebrows knitting together with that look of undeniable concern as he so attempted to catch the gaze of those crystalline eyes. She seemed so utterly lost within those thoughts and feelings that so plagued her, enough so that Tetradore found himself so reaching out to her, letting that now softened skin brush across the porcelain of her cheeks. It was a vain attempt, he was assured, so attempting to reassure her in this fashion whilst she was so overwhelmed with such sorrow that he hadn't the faintest notion of. He watched as her hand rose, those cold, slender fingers reaching up to so brush against his warm caramel skin. He watched as the bright blue splendor of her eyes turned towards him so abruptly, that singular action so sending a quizzical look across the man's silent features.

He hardly anticipated that glimpse of crimson that so lined her irises, nor the way in which that audible sob left her lips as her arms so encircled him. Tetradore pulled her into that embrace, despite perhaps being against his own body's best decision. Those tears were eternally his weakness, the same way in which they had always been. "Shhh, it's okay." He muttered softly to her, glancing down only when her fingers moved upwards to so cup his jaw, her lips pressed sweetly against his cheek. Tetradore's emerald eyes so intently watched her as that nickname fell from her lips and slowly, his head tilted to the side ever so slightly. "Yes?" He inquired. That fumbling of her words only furthered to confuse him, after all the young vampire was often the epitome of eloquent in all that she did and said. This lack there of was decidedly out of character for her, though, he supposed, this whole meeting was just as much. Still, he waited with infinite patience as she so gathered her thoughts, forming them into some hint of coherence he might be capable of understanding.

Those words that tumbled from her lips, however, were hardly quite what he anticipated, a near myriad of emotions so crossing his features in those moments from inquisitiveness to confusion and then, again concern as she so spoke of his efforts to find him. "Shh, I'm here now Isolt. I'm here." He responded, so gingerly holding the girl against him as those sobs were so pulled from her lips. It was, however, those words that still remained upon the forefront of his mind. His death? Was that what death had felt like? Though, he certainly wasn't dead now, of that he was entirely sure of. A small frown tugged at his features as he so attempted to piece together the last - how long had it been? He shook his head. "I remember Frost, Alexis told me he had the ability to kill someone by sending their blood literally boiling. I was trying to end the fight before it got to that point but...I don't think I succeeded." He remembered that distinctly well, he remembered how how it was. He remembered his body failing him. He remembered desperately attempting to think of anything he could salvage. "And then...I remember floating on the wind." It was hard to explain it really, that freeing feeling of simply existence. Those ashes had no cares, no worries, no responsibilities. They simply were. It was perhaps the most liberating moment of his life and yet, even it could hardly last long. He shook his head. "I tried to..find..myself and when I did, I came here. I can't find my cat, Isolt. Tobias might be my friend but, I can't control him without it and..." And Samantha? What of her?

A soft sigh left his lips. Everything was a mess and frankly, he hadn't the faintest idea of where to begin fixing it. He reached up, his hand running through his hair in the way it so often did when his thoughts had turned to more stressful topics. "What happened to the West, do you know?" He inquired, his gaze shifting down to the girl he held against his chest. After all, he needed to know what he was walking into, maybe, in time, he could heal and take back everything that had been stolen and lost.
