East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

It had been nearly two months since the Englishman had returned from that trip abroad. He had been remiss to leave behind the familiarity of his childhood home and even the grandeur of Dorian's Italian palace. His picture was still appearing across the cover of magazines worldwide and yet, the paparazzi had yet to discover their existence here - their location was wholly a mystery. Or at least, it should have been. His evening had started the same way it always did when Dorian insisted upon returning home. He awoke to the emptiness of that bed, his heart nearly aching at the absence of his lover and yet, the vampire had coaxed himself from his sheets to bask within the warmth of his luxurious shower, using the heat to bring some hint of life to his corpse of a body. His intentions for tonight had been solely to eat before returning to that estate within the North side, at least, until they had found him. The trio of men had cornered the vampire within that alleyway whilst his attention had been elsewhere upon his intended prey for the evening, that touch of silver upon his pale skin had nearly immediately awarded them with his attention. His prey had ran, as they so naturally did, leaving Sebastian alone to face those assailants who seemed all too determined to capture him. It was hardly difficult, really, for him to determine whom had sent them, after all, those Italian words upon their lips had been revealing enough as it was.

Those hunters had proved to be particularly....resilient, to say the least. The men entirely capable of simply ignoring those pheromones he so wielded, hardly bothered by his effort to instill discomfort within them in his presence. Alternatively, his efforts to so induce that lust only seemed to draw them further on, as if that hunt too had a way of producing other desires within them. And so, the vampire ran - well, more like, walked very quickly. He knew well enough they were still behind him, even as he made his way through the crowded downtown streets and towards that very road that was so known for it's nightlife. He had hoped to loose them within the presence of those mortals and yet they remained ever vigilant upon his tail with every block that went by. Those twists and turns, those back tracking and darts through alleyways had proved to be ineffective and yet Sebastian almost found himself apprehensive of those thinning horde as he found himself leaving those more populated street corners. Any move he intended to make would have to be done soon, the vampire entirely unwilling to lead them back towards his home on the off hand chance they were still oblivious of where he lived.

It was in that effort to escape that the vampire abruptly changed direction, bumping into a young woman in the process. "Pardon m--" That last syllable of that word trailed off as the Englishman's blue tinged gaze fell upon those fair features, perfectly done lipstick, and wealth of ebony locks. She was certainly lovely by any standards and yet, more importantly of all, she was like him. Sebastian was desperate. Besides, was his kind not regarded as one of the more dangerous races? She might his only way out of this rather sticky situation. It was with a small flick of his wrist that the bright red ribbon so blossomed to life and yet, he hardly intended to attack the men who followed him like he had so strove to do once before. They had already proved themselves capable of thwarted him, one amongst their party able of great speeds, the likes which so suggested their current efforts were merely a ploy to play with the man. His fingers worked diligently, tying that red string around his own finger, entirely careful to avoid that cord that already lay there. He reached out for her hand, hardly bothering to offer the woman any sort of chance to reject him before he tied that very same ribbon to her finger and within a blink of an eye - that ribbon merely vanished from the sight of any but his own. Fate had so accepted that relationship he'd nearly forced upon her, that love he'd so crafted within her. Those blue eyes tentatively glanced up at the female, uncertain as to what he would find, after all, he'd never actually pushed those affections onto another, merely observing their existence without terribly interfering. Tonight, it seemed, was an exception.

It was the sound of laughter that drew his gaze, his features contorting into a small frown. "Bollocks." He muttered, that British accent altogether heavy in those times of stress. They had gotten closer. He reached out towards her, grabbing her wrist as he hauled the fellow vampire down the street, splitting off into one of those accompanying alleyways. Sebastian wasn't quite sure what was supposed to happen much less how effective of a veritable guard dog he had created but, at this point he was willing to try anything. He glanced back at her with a hint of concern, though whether or not it was the approaching footsteps of his hunters or the uncertainty of what he had afflicted her with still remained to be seen. Either way, he was sure they had to keep moving.
