East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

LET THE DARKNESS TAKE YOU

When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you.

It's not long before the scent of something 'other' begins to overwhelm the scent of the forest. A lingering scent of blood, fear and pain permeates the air. These scents only bring one being to mind. Vampire. Whoever they are, they must have been desperate to ignore the obvious scent markers indicating that this area belonged to a tiger.

Foolish creature -- but not for long.

Sooner rather than later the first sound of voices carries across the wind. Muted screams and deranged laughter. it would seem they had found a meal. Silently Regan closes the distance. Keeping herself downwind and catching sight of her prey just as the death rattle echoes from the dead boys chest. It would seem the boy had tried to escape -- an enviable task. One he failed at in the end. But in doing so, he had ensured the final death of his murderers. Smart, clever little dead boy.

Regan is waiting for the opportune moment to spring her assault when the russet lion charges into the gathering. Idiot. Even as strong as he is a group of vampires is no laughing matter. With a silent snarl Regan leaps into the foray and with a powerful lunge manages to leap upon one of the vampires that had been readying to attack the viking while he was lost to his bloodlust. Regan wants to snarl at him for not paying attention but he is too lost. With efficient and long practiced effort, Regan beheads the vampire and quickly readies herself for the final target.

The scent of him exudes power and the normal stench of death has passed. He has been changed for at least 100 years. This one will not be as easy as his underlings. Regan dare not take her gaze from him. Not even to check and see if her viking had returned to his senses. She can only smell death and blood. All she hears is his rumbling growl and the gurgle of blood before a multitude of thumps. Dismemberment. How depressing she knows it by sound.

Regan begins to channel her Chi -- activating her ability. All her senses heighten and her power ripples around her in waves. Tigress and Vampire crash together in a tangle of limbs and teeth. Were and Vampire echoing a dance as old as time itself. Death reaches out with icy fingers and a shiver racks her spine.

Bliss.

Has there every been anything better than a fight to the death? Regan certainly doesn't think so. Her viking better hurry up or the next thing he knows the fight will be over. Something tells her he would not be pleased with that outcome.
