East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Miyako is a bit flustered as he responds to her odd request, but she's thankful that he doesn't mind as she is slipping that sweater off, her normal olive toned skin pale in the lighting of the elevator. Sighing in relief, she drops the sweater along with the rest of her items on the floor, "Much better," she smiles, "I can't believe they still have the heat on, my mistake for wearing so many layers," she rambles on, her cheeks a touch pink still giving her already innocent face an almost beautiful glow. As he states he doesn't know how long they will be in her, a brief frown tugs at the corner of her mouth as she folds her arm over her chest, "I can't imagine that they would forget about us," though she chews on her bottom lip a bit nervously, it was late in the day. It had almost been five when she finished paying her ticket.

It was then that her chocolate eyes are tracing along his tattoos, curiosity sparking in her as she studies them a bit intently. She's drawn back to his face as he speaks, a dark laugh rolling off his tongue, that sound licking up her spine. She stays put for the moment, studying the intricate designs of tattoos that wrap his arms, his rather well-muscled arms if she might add. Miya admires the detail and the hours that were surely put into it. The woman had never been brave enough to get her own, she found it to be a waste of money. She didn't particularly want to spend money on something she might regret later, yet she still admired the artwork.

And that's what these tattoos were, they were artwork.

Miya doesn't blink an eye as he lifts his shirt up to show her that sculpted abdomen. Working in a hospital, she had seen many naked bodies, though perhaps not as fine as the man before her. Taking a hesitant step forward, she unfolds her arms as she closes that small space between them, her hand reaching up slowly, before her gaze darts to him, a curious smile adorning her features. "May I?" she asks, regarding to her touching his tattoos along his ribs. Waiting for his acknowledgment first, she then reaches out her fingers to trace the designs gently, as if she would wipe the ink right off his skin.

It was such an interesting feeling, the raised skin beneath her fingertips, it felt like scarring. In some ways, it was almost self-mutilation to do this to yourself. Still, the petite woman admired the work done there as she focuses on all the tattoos along his ribs and abdomen, tracing each one with a sense of wonder. She had never seen someone with so many before! It was his comment that has her halting her gentle fingers, her eyes darting to his again, her head having to tilt back to see his face. A small frown creases her brows as she looks at him, though her hand remains on his ribs, "I have too done crazy things!" she exclaims indigently. "I just can't think of anything right now," she blushes a furious red with embarrassment. How easily this man got beneath her skin!

Slowly, her eyes travel back to her lingering fingers on his ribs before she suddenly yanks her hand away, realizing just how close she was to the man. Taking a small step back, her blush deepens as she realizes just what she had been doing, "Sorry, I didn't mean to... well, you know," she jerks her chin to his still bare abdomen, her eyes perhaps lingering a touch too long on his sculpted muscles. Though she had just removed her sweater, she found herself flushed all over, a different sort of heat tugging at her body now.
