East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The tension between her and Lazarus was so great she could have cut it with a butter knife. Although, the assassin as grateful that the hunter had decided to not tell Ellie what her job description was, considering she made a deal with Laz that she would no longer call him Lazlo. It was a deal she would gratefully make, considering she rather enjoyed Elain's company. The woman was truly the only bright spot she had in her miserable life and their relationship had bloomed unexpectedly. The two women couldn't have been anymore opposite, yet Vhalla was content with that female companionship, something she hadn't had since Sam had left town unexpectedly. Though, she was very much aware that her brother did not approve of the two being friends, considering he though the assassin was up to something and wanted to wrap his sister up in a dangerous game. Perhaps, once upon a time she would have, used Ellie to her advantage; but truly Vhal had no such intentions, she merely enjoyed the girl's friendship.

So, it brings us to Vhalla, standing on the Daray's porch, banging on the door loudly. She had watched Lazarus leave earlier in the day, off to harass some woman at the local bar no doubt. "Elain!" she shouts through the door, the wind biting into her skin through that thin clothing of hers. She had promised she would take the girl out, she had even managed to swipe a fake ID for the younger woman. Vhalla was dressed in attire ready for the downtown scene, the clothing so clinging to her womanly curves. How she delighted in shopping for those tight scraps of fabric. She didn't have options to dress up and she absolutely adored to use those ridiculous items of clothing she so bought. Though, she only ever wore them once.

Her job never made her feel womanly, though that suit was by Ivan's design, she hated that damn thing. He made it for her because he enjoyed the way she moved in it. It disgusted her that such a man could do things like that to her. Quick to push the vampire from her mind, the door finally swings open and she pushes past Ellie and into the warmth of that house, "What took you so long? It's freezing outside," she complains loudly before stalking over to the dining room table, those black thigh high boots clicking on the ground as she gracefully sits down in one move. Her stark white hair is curled in ringlets, pulls back into a pony tail to keep it out of her face as she turns to Ellie a cool smile so adorning her lips.

Reaching down, she fishes that fake ID from her pocket, showing it to Elain, "See? I told you I could get you one," she beams prettily at the woman. "Are you ready? There's a place downtown that you're going to love," Vhal states before standing, adjusting her tightly fitted sweater dress, pulling it down a touch before she links arms with Elain and drags her from the house. "Why is it so cold?" she complains to her friend, dragging her quickly along the street. Luckily, the Daray's lived close to downtown, their walk isn't terribly long and by the time they find cover between the big buildings the wind has died down. It doesn't take the assassin long to locate a rather classy bar, dragging her friend inside, quickly flashing their ID's.

The bouncer doesn't hardly glance at their ID's before he lets them pass inside, the music raging around them. Turning to Elain, she beams at the woman, "I told you it would work, you just need to be confident," she explains to the woman quickly making their way to the bar. Ordering two drinks, she orders herself a bourbon while ordering Ellie something sweet and fruity, convinced the woman wouldn't like any of the drinks Vhal so tended to learn towards. "Well? What do you think?"
