East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch was entirely apathetic regarding the dialogue at hand, especially considering it had nothing to do with anything that Serafina was interested within. She was here for one reason and one reason only, to assist in the murder of one individual whilst toying with the fellow who'd "purchased" her services within the first place. It was an intriguing line she walked. Or at least, it could be. Slowly the young witch nursed her glass of wine, finding that the alcohol within it's dry taste went to her head far quicker then it usually did - not that she was terribly surprised by such a realization. What did surprise her, however, was just how quick it was that she began to feel it's pull. Thankfully for the woman, she hardly had to wait terribly long before the appetizer course of their meal began to arrive, a soft giggle leaving her painted lips as the plate of seafood was placed down in front of her. It had been a game between them from the beginning - this peculiar seafood and even if their outer exterior hardly looked appeasing, she was still willing to see this event through.

The sound of his masculine voice brought her attention towards him, an almost guilty simper crossing her feminine features. Although she was well off, or rather her mentor was well off, he certainly never took Serafina out to dinner. In fact, this was the first time the girl had ever really been in a restaurant of any caliber. Her gaze intently watched the fashion that his knife worked into the oyster shell, popping it open to reveal the soft muscle inside. Her eyebrows rose ever so slightly as he tipped his head back, letting the slimly looking thing slide down his throat in one smooth motion. "Well don't you make it look easy." She commented simply as the man beside her turned his gaze to her. Gingerly Serafina picked up the knife beside her plate with relative confidence. Her work often left the witch utilizing blades, leaving her relatively comfortable with their sharp edges. She had little difficulty wedging her knife within the slot, moving the knife gently in order to pop open the oyster in the same fashion that she'd seen him do only moments ago. Unlike her counterpart, however, once she'd actually gotten the thing open, Serafina found herself hesitating.

She reached out with her finger, carefully poking the object within as if testing just how safe it really was. Inquisitively she glanced in the direction of her companion, eying his nonchalant posture and lustful glimpse across his masculine features. Her stormy gaze turned back towards the oyster within her hand, a soft inhale taken before the girl brought the shell to her lips, tipped back her head, and allowed the foreign object into her mouth and down her throat in one smooth motion. The taste was certainly something Serafina hadn't expected, her fair features contorting momentarily as her tastebuds rebelled. She reached for her glass, sipping on the wine to wash out the salty sensation. "That....was not what I expected." She admitted after a moment, a small grin crossing her features. Unlike her companion, Serafina was more then delighted to waste her time in such antics if only because she suspected there was something more he enjoyed about this then watching her stick an oyster in her mouth.
