East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Taliah merely blinks at him as he offers his title, the woman was hardly surprised by any means. The Brazilian woman was entirely aware of the two Alphas roaming the city, she had expected to meet one or both of them at one point simply because she owned a bakery and the city wasn't terribly large. Taliah can't help but still as he reaches out to touch the corner of her lip, her green eyes trained on him, her curiosity getting the better of her. And as that exotic laughter falls from her lips she's pleasantly surprised to see a ghost of a smile touch the man's lips. He was decidedly handsome when he smiled, his own serious features brightening in that brief moment as they trade remarks. She can't help but raise her brows at his statement, her head tilting slightly in an almost predatory way, a bit of mischief glinting in her green eyes. "Perhaps that's a good thing, I don't think it would end well for the woman that would decide to hit you," she shrugs in a teasing manner. Taliah hardly thought the man would try and harm a woman, she simply thought he would make a fool out of them for even trying.

As their conversation continues, the Brazilian woman offering him hot chocolate, there's a brief flicker of disappointment though she hardly pushes it as he declines her. It would be far to easy to make it and give it to him all the same, she would have even loaned him a mug so that it might accompany him on his ride home. Yet, she pauses as his deep tenors touch her ears again, her green eyes traveling to the man again, "I don't particularly think I'm arrogant, however, I would have to say that my cookies are quite delicious," she states playfully, a smile toying at her lips. "I suppose we will wait and see if you decide to come back for that hot chocolate," she lifts a shoulder at him, readying herself to continue her teasing remarks until the lightening streaks across the sky and her bakery practically shuddering as a crash of thunder sounds around them. Flinching, the room is plunged into darkness, those curse words falling from her lips colorfully as she blindly moves around the room, finding the small flashlight.

Quickly maneuvering the flashlight into her mouth and placing the dough in the cooler, it takes only but a moment for that light to fall from her lips and crash to the floor. Cursing again, she fumbles around before releasing a sigh. Pushing herself to a standing position she moves around the counter quickly, running into something or rather someone, her small frame colliding with his hard body. A small sound escapes her lips, as she feels Tetradore's hand reach out and catch her to keep her from falling. The moment she's steady, she takes a step away, mumbling and apology before she glances towards the little bit of light left, streaming through the windows leading into the kitchen. Sighing, she glances up at the man dejectedly. Listening to him comment about not having any cash has her shaking her head, "It's been more of an inconvenience for you at this point, I'd be happy to give you what I promised. You'll just have to come back for that hot chocolate sometime," she states, a weak smile ghosting her lips.

"As for the product I have, I don't think it would make it all the way there before it dies," she sighs, "I don't have any containers to transport in, it would be better to chance leaving it in the coolers, I just have to be careful not to open them," she mumbles, her brows furrowing as she thinks of all her options. "I appreciate your offer, that is very kind of you." As he begins to move towards the doorway, she hardly answers him as she folds her arms over her chest, her brain rapid firing off ideas. Pushing the few stray strands of hair from her face, she drops a hand onto the counter and drums her fingers as she thinks. It's then that her eyes widen, a small oh sounding from her lips as she turns around and takes off quickly across the kitchen. Taliah could vaguely remember a generator hidden within one of the supply closets when she bought out the store, though she couldn't remember if she had gotten rid of it during the initial cleaning process. She barely hears Tetradore as he calls back to her, declaring that the entire block was out of power. Without responding, she makes it to the supply closet and yanks the door open, revealing a rather dusty generator. Sniffing, she wrinkles her nose detecting the scent of gasoline, she hardly knew how much was in it, but at least it would help a bit.

A grim smile touches her lips as she reaches down to grip the handle, tugging it, she frowns. There was no way she was going to move this by herself. A soft sigh emits from her lips as she turns around and moves her way towards the front. Stepping up besides Tetradore, she glances down the street, and sure enough it was plunged in darkness, the night only pressing in on them more. "I found a generator in the back supply closet, there's hookups outside to use it but I can't move it. I think I might just have to chance it," she sighs again. Though, it never occurred to the woman that she could ask for help, it was something that she had never been known to do. Yet, here was a strong looking man who was fully capable of moving that generator outside and Taliah simply stood there, arms folded over her chest, frowning as she begins to tick off numbers in her head of all the lost product that surely would happen.
