East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Chizue settled comfortable upon the wooden slats of the bench she'd so eagerly chosen. It was positioned perfectly in front of the illuminated fountain, the spouting water creating fantastical displays in time with the poppy music that played from the speakers overhead. They were far enough away that the spray from the falling water didn't touch them and yet, equally close enough to appreciate the splendor of the water feature. The Asian girl leaned back upon the seat, her gaze fluttering between the fountain before her and watching the people that walked in and out of the mall. Though the sun had fallen, the weekend crowd was still eager to spend their hard earned money in the plethora of stores and restaurants within the City Creek Center. Her nose wrinkled slightly at the scent of his food as it wafted through their little area, though it was hardly a gesture of abhorrence so much as simply her body's hypersensitivity to everything, thanks to the fact that she'd finally recently fed. Chizue glanced towards him, watching the way he eyed his food ravenously. Regardless of the clear hunger that afflicted him, however, Oliver seemed almost...keen to strike up some sort of conversation.

His query, however, was answered with a small lift of her shoulders in a vague shrug. It wasn't often, admittedly, that the young girl ventured from the safety of her townhome. Her fear had become a self imposed cage, one that the woman, with her current stolen demeanor, was becoming equally as tired of. She saw no reason to lie, however, as she answered that work was the only thing to coax her from the comfort of the place she stayed. Her wording, it seemed, had caught Oliver's interest as he inquired as to whether or not she might be coaxed to leave - as if he intended to do just that! A beam spread across her lips as she nodded quite firmly. "With the right sort of coaxing." She replied, a glint within the depths of her chocolate irises. Was he...perhaps...flirting with her? Did he want her to leave her home more often to visit him? That, after all, was a sort of incentive that Chizue had little intention of passing up. Mr. Most Eligible Bachelor. Her gaze hardly lingered upon him long, however, fully letting him focus on the food that he so clearly wanted to eat. Rather, her focus deviated upon a group of young girls as they walked by.

Oliver's sudden question of her appetite caught the girl off guard. Her brows furrowed, her head tilted to the side as she considered her body's own 'needs'. Chizue so often went on the verge of 'starving' that being even remotely...satisfied was almost...unusual. She certainly could eat, she supposed. It had been a few days since she'd last indulged in the life force of another. Her confession rewarded her with an open stare from the man beside her, the Were clearly couldn't even begin to fathom not eating for days. It was his offer to share, however, that brought a look of clarity upon her features. Oh! He meant that kind of food! Chizue was quick to backtrack, insisting that she hadn't quite become accustomed to the rich and hearty foods of this country. She hadn't quite realized exactly what sort of 'hunger' he was referring to. After all, the need for such sustenance as the one in his lap was hardly required for the vampire anymore. He was more than willing, however, to procure anything she desired, his offer brought a soft sound of contemplation to her lips as her head tilted in consideration. "Hm.....maybe....some salmon onigiri?" It had been a while since she'd had a stuffed treat such as that...ooo and with some tempura! "....and sweet potato tempura." She added, visualizing the deliciousness of the crispy fried skin and the delectable sweetness of the vegetable.

Truly, she didn't expect him to really be able to just...come up with those Japanese snacks. Instead she attempted to coax him to enjoy his meal. After all, if he spent much longer fretting over her, it was sure to get cold! He brought the first bite to his lips, that soft sound of satisfaction rumbling in the back of his throat prompted a soft giggle from the girl. She was glad he enjoyed it. Her attention deviated from the man beside her, turning back towards the gaggle of teenage girls that seemed to be lingering outside of the mall, glancing over at them conspiratorially as they spoke in hushed, rushed tones. Ah, how well Chizue knew that look, and yet, she was inclined to almost ignore the truth of the matter as she leaned closer to her companion. There was a teasing tone upon her lips as she gestured towards the girls, insistent that they were here for Sacrosanct's most eligible bachelor. His fork paused as he stared at her blankly, Oliver's mind clearly struggling to consider the possibility that he might have allured mere teenagers. He glanced towards them before his gaze turned back towards her. He leaned slightly towards her, only to utter how much he hoped the girls were not here for him...particularly when he was enjoying his present company far more. Her head whipped towards him at those words, Chizue clearly caught off guard by how exceedingly forward he was. She wasn't used to this level of assuredness in a man! And yet....they coaxed a smile to her features all the same. "Oh dear. I fear all the girls will hate me now." She answered, feigning concern at the situation she found herself in. Would it be so terrible, though, to take him off the 'market'. The more she thought about it, the more Chizue was certain that she quite liked the sound of that.
