East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"And I should trust your judgment and what you say....because....?"
The curly-haired woman had absolutely no reason to trust Nadya. Nadya never did something that remotely caused Raven to even think about trusting her at all. Just because she was another Second in the pack didn't mean she had to instantly trust her. And as petty as it sounds, she is part human, but Nadya was aware or at least had an inkling that she fancied the spotted leopard. One eyebrow was raised in a challenging manner daring Nadya to come up with some sort of pathetic reason. It was not a shock that the two weren't close. It could be said they were simply acting upon instincts feline against canine. Yet Raven had done nothing to actually harm or injure the feline, but each time those chocolate eyes landed on her the lupine felt only distrust and hatred. Raven felt she had been kind and tolerated Nadya, but now knowing she was carrying Tobias child...well...she was conflicted- and who could blame her? Taking Nadya with her to the front of the store her mind was reeling as she stood and waited until it was their turn to purchase their items and leave. Part of her wanting to yell and attack Nadya while the other half of her simply wanted to leave the girl behind and not bother with her. As soon as they were done she grabbed Nadya's hand pulling her towards the medical center. Reaching the desk and holding the clipboard she turned around eyes narrowed seeing the girl shrink and not take the clipboard. Softly she spoke to Nadya her voice firm and far from being gentle.

"You are carrying his cub...you get to give him something that I will never be able to."

Waving her hand over the clipboard she felt the item begin to lift grasping it roughly as she placed her hands on her hips. Her head was carried a bit higher now, her back straight, holding herself at a higher stance. She had yet to formally accept Tetradore's offer and she was going through a state of being between a loner and a member of a pack. She knew Nadya was above her in pack and yet she was still ever so very independent. Taking a step towards the expecting Mother her head titled to the side looking her over tasting the fear the she-cat was attempting to hold back. This time when Raven spoke her tone was a bit kinder than before- a struggle to keep herself being friendly to the woman that carried her boyfriend's cub.

"You don't know much about wolves do you? When there is a pup coming to the pack...it is everyone's job to nurture it, protect it, and make sure it survives."

Slowly she dropped her hands from her hips and extended her hand that still had the clipboard in it. Ignoring the other patrons in the room she bent down and grabbed one of the baby books she had paid for, on Nadya's behalf, all the while shutting the door from the room with her telekinesis to keep Nadya in. Keeping her eyes locked on Nadya's she took a step back so as not to keep the girl from feeling frightened, worried that the mother's mood could affect the cub in her. Keeping the clipboard extended, so that Nadya could finally take it, her voice came out much softer and gentler than before her voice hold a sweeter note.

"So, to make sure you and the cub are healthy and fine...you will sit here and you will get yourself checked out. The doctor will also provide you with whatever pre-material vitamins you need for yourself and the cub...you might even get to see how far along you are or what kind you are going to get."

As soon as Nadya took the clipboard the she-wolf would use her free hand to open the book. Flipping through the pages until she found the particular chapter she was looking for, she turned the book around for Nadya to see. There the chapter 2 said 'Go the Doctor to ensure that you and your baby are healthy.'

"See...even this book tells you to do that. Please just fill out the form and get yourself checked out...if not for you then do it for the cub."

Really- Raven was trying...the cub belonged to Tobi, the cub belonged to a member of the pack she wished to join and she was simply acting on instinct. She was supposed to help care for the cub...even if it didn't belong to her.

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
